Fast, but not too fast. Maneuverable, agile and responsive - but not tricky. A snap to build - and with a fully sheeted airframe, surprisingly rugged compared to most.
Don't let the lack of landing gear scare you. Hand launching is easy because of the fuselage's light weight and strengthened design. In the air, it really looks the part without any exposed gear to detract from its clean lines. Bringing the One-O-Nine in for a belly landing on grass is just as easy.
You should see them take evasive maneuvers in Dog Fighting. Evade with snap rolls into spins, Immelmann turns and a loop. OSM's One-O-Nine kit is part of our Sunday Fighter lineup and just might be the most fun you've had in a long time.
Because of the interlocking design and high quality laser cutting of the parts, the Sunday Fighter is a quick build. Not only does it build quick, but it also builds straight and true as all of the parts are designed to align properly with a minimum of fuss and alignment tools.
The wing is removable for storage/transport and for giving access to the radio/servo area. From there you have easy access to install most any brand of radio and control linkages.
What's more, the fully assembled model can fit in the trunk of most cars.
Although mainly designed for electric power, you can also use a .25-sized glow engine as well. Glow engines are side mounted. Electric motors are mounted on the "extended" firewall to space the motor the proper distance forward.
When assembled, you now have a blank canvas and can apply any number of color schemes, or make up your own.
In the air, the One-O Nine is a blast to fly. A simple hand-launch gets it airborne, then you can cruise quite easily and 1/2 power. Throttle up for loops, eights, snaps, spins, hammerhead turnaounds - or maybe a screaming low-level pass, right down the runway. When you're ready to land, simply throttle back and gently bring the One-O Nine in for a belly landing on the grass.
This is just one design in our growing Sunday Fighter series.

The stock battery mount for the slow stick is a little finicky to use. We believe it was made originally for 350 NiCads. Our mount fixes several issues. First, it has plenty of surface area if you like to use mounting Velcro. It is slotted and includes Velcro tie straps. It will retain these tie straps when the battery is not in place so no worries about them getting lost. Second, there are multiple places to easily hook on rubber bands. Any way you like to mount your battery is accommodated well with this mount.
Our long length mount will hold most any pack around 2500 or less in capacity in the normal long or short profile. Any pack 4.5" long (114mm) or less fits nicely.
Mount stands off slightly from the fuse boom so it may be positioned to overlap our wing mounts, main gear mounts even the motor mount if you like a forward location better. We have used this mount to suspend the battery above the boom also. It could also be used for "side" mounting if you need to balance against a camera or other onboard device that is off center.

Historically, the full-scale Smith Miniplane is one of the designs that helped start the modern homebuilding era. Originally designed and built in 1957 by Frank Smith of Fullerton, California, the Miniplane was an early example of engineering with the amateur homebuilder and weekend pilot in mind. It could be constructed with tools easily within reach of the average craftsman, and in the air it was stable and easy to fly. The top wing spanned 17 ft., and the empty weight was a mere 600 pounds. Powered by a 100hp Lycoming, the tiny Miniplane cruised at 120 mph, climbed at a fantastic 2,500 ft. per minute, and was highly aerobatic. It was just what many sportsman pilots were looking for!
R/C Sport Scale BiPlane
In 1974, Glen Sigafoose, then President of Sig Mfg. Co., acquired a complete Smith Miniplane to use for aerobatic practice. Glen's beautiful red, white, and black aircraft was the inspiration for this mini version of the Miniplane.
Fast, but not too fast. Maneuverable, but not tricky. A snap to build and surprisingly rugged compared to most. The original Sunday Fighters were the brainchild of Ken Willard back in the early 1970's. His were small, .049 powered 3-channel models and proved quite popular. Now, we've taken this idea, enlarged, and re-engineered them to make them as much fun to build as they are to fly.
You should see them take evasive maneuvers in Dog Fighting. Evade with snap rolls into spins, Immelmann turns and a loop. Our radio-controlled Sunday Fighter airplane kits just might be the most fun you've had in a long time.
Because of the interlocking design and high quality laser cutting of the parts, the Sunday Fighter is a quick build. Not only does it build quick, but it also builds straight and true as all of the parts are designed to align properly with a minimum of fuss and alignment tools.
The wings are removable for storage/transport and for giving access to the extra large cabin area. From there you have easy access to install most any brand of radio and control linkages. However, the fully assembled model can fit in the trunk of most mid-sized cars.
Up-front, we've designed in a hatch that covers the battery/tank compartment. This area will easily handle 3s packs and 6 ounce tanks.
Whether you choose to power your Sunday with electric or glow power, we've got you covered. Glow engines can be mounted side, inverted or even upright with a little modification. Electric motors can be mounted using the included Motor Box which will help space your motor to the proper distance.
Go true "old-school" with 3 channel control, or opt for functional ailerons (4 channel).
There are two Sunday Fighters - the German version you see here, and the British version you can see at this link.

If you're looking for an R/C model that is easy to build and exciting to fly, the KOUGAR is for you! This sleek jet-style airplane has a fully symmetrical wing section for smooth pattern-like aerobatics. Ample wing area and a thick airfoil provide outstanding slow speed stability. Built-in wing "washout" eliminates tip stalling, enabling the Kougar Mark II to be slowed down to a walk for realistic nose-high landings. The Kougar Mark II is highly recommended as an introduction to low-wing flying and learning aerobatics. Fully Aerobatic Smooth Control Response Don't let the Kougar's racy lines worry you. Construction of this sport model is simple and straight forward. The load-carrying and equipment-carrying portion of the fuselage is basic balsa box structure. Once that is built, you add a molded plastic fuselage top, a molded clear plastic canopy, and a molded plastic cowling, to give the Kougar its modern jet-style shaped. Price includes Sig Mfg.'s $20.00 shipping surcharge.
The Robinhood 25's bigger brother, now better than ever.
The Robinhood 80 is based on the original kit marketed by World Engines in the 1980's, but we have updated it significantly to more closely resemble the Curtiss Robin built back in the 1920's.
While still a fun-scale design, it is easy to build and retains all of the great flying characteristics that make a good sport airplane. In the air, the Robinhood 80 is a true barnstormer and is at it's best when cruising on a lazy afternoon or performing some gentle aerobatics.
Power can be from 20cc gas, .90-1.50 glow or an equivalent electric setup. We've designed the fuselage with a built-in hatches so you have quick access to your fuel (or batteries) and and radio system.
All of the formers, ribs, tips and other specialty parts come laser-cut. These pieces are engineered to fit together with a minimum amount of tools and/or jigs to align properly them.
The fuselage can be built as an inline version (as shown) or with a slightly shorter nose if you're rather install your own radial engine for that classic look.
Utilizing our unique WEB-LOCK construction, you can build both wing panels straight and true - with a minimum amount of fuss. Both wing panels are removable for easy transportation and storage, attaching to the fuselage with functional struts and a few bolts.

Magnets make wonderful hatch and canopy hold down systems. We even use them in our kits to hold wings on and secure wing latches. Nothing makes them quite so easy to use as a precision hole for mounting them. Our magnet tabs make this chore easy! Each 1/16" thick laser cut sheet contains 16 various tabs. A variety of tabs shapes are included for every imaginable purpose. These can be applied to the surface of foam, balsa, fiberglass, any material. You can also cut slots and install certain tabs as overhanging fingers if you like. Each sheets contains 4 each: round mounts, center tab mounts, double ended tab mounts and 2 each: star mount and wide double tab mount. SKU Number: RRCMAGTAB18

Many earlier kits intended for stick mounts were made for gearbox motors. If you use an outrunner in one of these models, the motor shaft will exit cowling in the wrong spot looking silly and probably flying poorly. Outrunners require the stick to be further offset from the intend motor shaft location. This mount system allows you to offset the stick to either side of the typical crop of park flyer sized 28mm series motors. I oiriginally designed this part so we could get an outrunner into a GWS Tiger Moth 400 without doing surgery on the foam fuse. In this case, I'm offsetting the motor stick below the motor. Optional side plates are provided so that you can get the shaft on either side of the original motor stick location. Also, the side plates have oval holes so you can make adjustments to motor thrust line and adjustment to cowling exit location for the shaft on one dimension. Sounds complex, but it's really just 4 simple parts bolted together. Comes with drawing and instructions. Great way to update older designed molded foam kits.
Winner of "1st Place CD's Choice Award" Sunday July 8 at 2012 Mid America Electric Flies.
Thanks to Ken Myers and Keith Shaw for all the hard work on this event.
This kit is an outgrowth of our stand-way-off scale Wright Stick. These kits have flown with great success all over the world for years. Many have commented how cool it would be to have the correct color, wingspan and tip shape to make the kit even more scale like. One builder, Peter Sripol made his own Depron wings and flew his at SEFF in 2011. It flew very well and looked as controllable and gentle as the version based on Slow Stick wings. In 2012 there is a possible opportunity to fly at a famous Wright location. I wanted to have a model ready should that develop further. Also, I wanted a new and unique kit for Toledo this year, we decided now was the time. This machine has all the same struts as the original 1905 Wright Flyer. The 1905 was configured a couple different ways both prostrate and seated pilot and actually carried a passenger In 1908/1909 as the first military aircraft. It was the culmination of everything Wilbur and Orville had learned from the first 2 flyers. It has a longer tail and canard moment and was the first version that truly flew well. 2009 was the 100 year anniversary of Military flight. The flyer sold to the military was essentially the 1905 Wright model 3 with seating and control modifications. So, this is a 1905 or 1908 depending on what scale detail you add.
Our Wright Stick was historic in being the first ever sport type Wright Flyer. Our new stand off scale version follows all the same scale lines in all areas possible while still keeping the model simple and rugged.
This is our second open framework kit. We hope to produce a few more in this style. A Curtis Pusher is high on my list as is the Wright EX (Vin Fizz) or perhaps the Wright B Flyer. This is a kit and not an ARF. However it assembles more like an erector set. It will fly well and you'll certainly draw a crowd. I suggest you fly it over a grass field and 10mph wind or less. I've flown in as high as 16mph but less is certainly more fun.
Picture shows kit with bent and painted depron wings. Yes, it will slide along pavement and ROG if you like. Pillow blocks are included for axle mounts if you'd like to create your own landing gear.

Slow Stick Canard made easy! This all-in-one unit will mount your horizontal stab and allow angle of attack adjustments to suit your special setups. Most canards should be set to between 3 and 5 degrees positive. Range of adjust ment is from 0 to 7 degrees positive. Elevator servo moves with the canard mounting surface so your elevator adjustment stays the same relative to your canard when you alter the angle of attack setting. Mount has built in nose gear block and nose gear steering servo mount. All holes are predrilled. Includes high quality socket head hardware needed to complete.
My personal Slow Stick Canard is a twin tractor. I have a 1000mm boom length and the CG is set at 1-1.25" in ffront of the main wing leading edge. I have never built one with a stock boom length (800mm) but I would start with the CG in the range of 0-.5" in front of the leading edge. The shorter the boom the further the CG comes back, the longer the further forward you would place it. I don't know where Bob Masterson's CG is set but I would thing it is similar to my 1000mm boom setup.

The Barracuda is designed around the current (2025) E2K club racing rules, but we also found that it makes a fantastic everyday sport plane with a wide flight envelope.
The overall design meets and exceeds the E2K sport racing specifications for wingspan, wing area, and various fuselage measurements. It's a grassroots, low-cost form of racing that puts the emphasis on the pilot - not on how much the pilot can spend.
Click here to download a copy of those rules and see you can use them to hold your own club races at your field.
All of this comes in a great-looking design that is remarkably easy to build, thanks to our innovative design techniques and precision laser-cut parts.
We kept the parts count low so you can build it quickly. Believe it or not, you can go from box to full-framed up in one weekend - with time to spare! Because of the interlocking design and high-quality laser cutting of the parts, not only does it build quickly, but it also builds straight and true as all of the parts were designed to align properly with a minimum of fuss and alignment tools.
The wing is removable, giving access to the inside of the cabin area. From there, you have easy access to install most any brand of radio and control linkages. Up-front, we've designed in a large hatch that covers the battery compartment. This area will easily handle 2200mAh 3s and 4s packs.
All framed up, the Barracuda weighs just under 12 ounces, and the Barracuda's construction gives it surprising rigidity to handle most anything you can throw at it.
For club racing, pop in a 4s, 2200mAh pack and tear up the sky. Challenge your club members to see who can get the best time.
But there's more to the Barracuda than just speed. It's a very capable aerobatic design as well. Loops, rolls, inverted flight, Cuban-8s, split-S, and more are all within its capabilities.
And after you're done tearing up the skies, throttle down to easily cruise around the field. Then when the time's right, set up for a nice, controlled landing. The Barracuda's efficient airfoil gives it a good glide ratio, which makes setting up for a landing less stressful than you might think.
When it comes time to land, by design, E2k racers are belly landed on grass. Because we designed the fuselage from a strong, lite ply base, it takes the worry out of damage to the Barracuda each time you touch down.
But I know what you're asking now. "What if I don't have a grass field to land on?" We also offer a skid pack for the Barracuda, which easily bolts on to each side of the fuselage. These replaceable skids allow you to land on rough and paved surfaces without damaging the Barracuda's fuselage. A pair of skids weighs just 11.4 grams, so they have zero impact on the C.G. or on the Barracuda's flight performance.
