Excited to get these out again so you can show the ARF pilots how bad they are missing out!
This model is outstanding on any 400 class outrunner in the 980-1300 KV Range, 3S packs from 700-1300. Think of props from 8-4 to 9-6 depending on KV. 70 to 170 watts is the right range. The model is strong and roomy enough for 300 watts if your desire are of the insane variety.
My favorite setups so far: Himax 2816-1220, 9-4.5 prop, 3S 1300 Kypom 35C K6 series. Around 19 amps, about 240 watts. Himax 2812-650, 9-4.5 prop, 5S RRC or Kypom 450. Less than 10 amps! About 165 watts and super effiecient. GWS 003 Outrunner, 8-6 prop, 3S 600-1300 size 3S pack.
Many systems will work well here. This model is a supurb sport aircraft, probably the best I have ever designed. I know it's going to become the most popular kit we've ever made. Kit comes with both Sport and Stick type flying surface options. Push button wing release, space frame formers/doublers, one or two servo ailerons and simple zip tie on landing gear are standard features.
This model is everything you expect a Stick to be and everything you expect in a Radical RC kit. Construction is fully interlocking and completely self jigging. It is actually possible to build 90% of the kit prior to applying any adhesive. In fact, most of the assembly is squeezing together friction fit -n- tab self jigged assemblies and applying thin CA sparingly at the conclusion of each assembly. Fit is so good, only the most minimal amount of sanding is needed prior to finish application.
Model is designed specifically for E-power. Predrilled firewalls are included as are blank firewalls and a more short nose mounting location if you want to go 1/2 A glow. And, it's not needed since you finished glow flying weight will be about 14-16oz on glow. Model is expected to finish 13-18oz. One of my samples weighs in at 16oz. the other at 17oz. Normal weights for high performance sport aircraft with these capabilities and landing gear is 24oz or more.
Instructions include complete breakdown on motor system choices and theory for this model. Because it's so light weight, you can have a legitimate 2S system here. Our prototypes are flying on 3S (foreground) and 5S (background).
Model is built with conventional 1 or 2 servo - 2 aileron wing. May be upgraded to 3D surfaces with our optional 3D Surface Kits. With 3D Surface Kit you can run 2 servo big ailerons or 4 servo split aileron/flaperon combo. Expanded surface for elevator and rudder included as in photo. Note, the 3D Surfaces Kit only works with the "Sport" Vertical Stab.
Trick parts for adding Ailerons to your slow stick. These horns are special and differ from the tail horns. Comes with servo mounting pads, stick these down with Foam Safe CA, GWS glue included with Slow Sticks or any other foam safe adhesive. Pad is made from 1/64th aircraft ply so it is flexible and will match contour of wing easily. Glue servo (CA or Goop) to pad. (servos glued directly to the foam can be torn off easily). Spacers are provided so you can adjust horn to fit 4 or 5mm thick wings. Enough parts to do both ailerons on one wing.
The aileron is cut out from the stock GWS molding on the back of the wing. Here is how I did it.
Instructions: 1.Press hobby pins through the color side at the corners of the aileron hinge line depression molded into the wing. Glue a balsa block to the side of your hobby knife so only about 1/8" of the blade sticks past the block. This block becomes a stop for the next step to stop you from cutting too deeply. Flip the wing over and put a steel straight edge against the pins (we are now working from the white or bottom side of the wing). Use your altered hobby knife to slice the foam from pin to pin in a straight line without piercing through the top surface or colored skin of the wing. 2. Line up a steel straight edge on the top surface of the wing and cut the cordwise lines (those going for and aft) at the ends of the aileron. Once cut, Move your rule over about 1/32" and take an extra sliver out. This way the edges of the aileron won't touch and bind as it moves back and forth.
3: Aileron is now free. Flex the aileron towards the colored side and the foam will crack up (from the bottom) to colored skin.
4: Hold the aileron so it's vertical or 90 to the top surface and use a sanding bar to sand the hinge line down flat so that both the wing and the aileron end up with a 45 degree bevel in the hinge line. BUT WAIT! When you sand, do so carefully, as you see the color (of the top surface skin) begining to peek through the foam, stop sanding. You don't want to cut this skin. The top skin becomes a living hinge. I added Blenderm tape to the bottom of my hinge line while it was flexed up to make sure I had a durable hinge.
Step 5 Warning! Your making each wing a mirror image of of the other, look carefully so both servos are placed opposite each other, pads are betweed same ribs and offset to similarly relative to the center of the wing.
5: Glue servo pad to wing. GWS foam glue or any other foam safe CA may be used. After the pads are cured, glue your servos to the servo pad. Cut the slot in the aileron so the holes in the horn are lined up over the hinge line you just cut in. Use the spacers (one long one aginst the foam) so the when the clip is installed the horn is snug. Remove, add glue and put back together. Make pushrod from .055 wire (same stuff used for slow stick pushrods) and your done.

Custom Extension as listed above except Female to Female plug. Used for some power box and other misc uses. This custom extension will have 2 ends that look just like an RX or Y harness arm. Accepts your servo ends.
Micro Lite: This type of wire is used most commonly in applications with small servos (.5 oz weight or less usually) in park flyers, foamies, sailplanes, DLG's and other models with low servo loads. You can save a bunch of weight eliminating beefy stock wiring from these smaller models.
26 Gauge Standard: This wire is what you find in most new radio sets and on most mid size to full size standard torque 4 screw mountable servos. This ribbon wire size is a good wire choice for those types of servos (and smaller) if the runs are 24" or less. Good for smaller servos in long runs such as sailplane wings and similar. For example, great for you 60" cub but use 2o gauge your outfitting a 100" Cub.
22 Gauge Heavy Duty: Use for all larger models and any place a high torque or digital servo might be used. Use for standard torque servos if your runs are very long (over 24")
At last, an easy and low cost high performance Slow Stick Twin. Gone are the days of strapping a heavy boom to the bottom of the wing with the resulting up thrust and poor handling. You can have a twin and have it fly correctly! With the Radical RC twin conversion kit you can make any Slow Stick into a twin. You can even make it into a 4 engine WWI Faux Bomber if you wish (with 2 kits). Our kit does not alter your wing in any way, attaches with simple rubber bands so you can always alter or return to a prior configuration if you like. Optionally; cut the tail off this mount and glue them into your wing for a permanent band free installation if desired.
Each kit comes with 2 mounts and high quality socket head fasteners.
For those wanting to configure a forward looking still or movie camera setup without prop interference, you've just gained an excellent option.

Combo A-Brushed = 2 each 370-B gearbox's and motors, GWS 480 ESC, 2 JWT female pigtails & 1 set of GWS 8-4 x3 Blade Counter Rotating props. This set will provide excellent performance with straight up climb yet speed controlled just right for the Slow Stick. Wide open throttle time should be limited to 30 seconds, current will be about 10 amps per motor at WOT, max continuous is 8 amps. Who would have ever thought you could setup a high performance twin so inexpensively! Don't assume brushed setups can't be high perfromance, this system will really rock! The Price is OUTSTANDING!!
COMBO-B-Brushless = 2 each GWS 002 Outrunner, 2 GWS 28mm outrunner mounts, 2 Brushless ESC's, 2 sets 3.5mm bullets & 1 set of GWS 8-4 x3 Blade Counter Rotating props. Although bullet-like connectors come with the GWS motor, anybody with an ounce of sense changes them to real gold bullets. This setup performs nearly identical to the brushed above for a few amps lower draw.
All COMBO choices require soldering your harness together with parts provided. Your 3S generally 1000-2100 size pack is required. For Brushed setup, be sure to use Deans or Anderson Power Poles between ESC and battery. For brushless twin with single pack, solder both ESC's to one input plug.

With solid performance based on the dual-band 900M/2.4G RF signal link with multiple operating combinations of RF modes, the TANDEM X20R & X20RS versions are equipped with the TD-ISRM Pro built-in RF module which is capable of supporting multiple protocols (like TW, TD, etc), with same RF capability as X20 Pro editions.
The TD-ISRM Pro RF module has the dual 2.4G TW RF mode and supports simultaneous activation of working under TW and ACCESS R9 modes with the same module. In this configuration, the TW receiver and ACCESS R9 receiver can be connected via the SBUS IN/OUT ports to achieve redundant backup. This RF signal connection solution makes use of three different RF links at the same time in RC applications. This further enhances the RF signal's reliability, particularly in long-distance RC operations scenarios.
DIFFERENCES IN APPEARANCE & FUNCTIONAL INPUTS
The X20R and X20RS have changed from the original X20 design in appearance. The bottom hand grip adopts the overall design of the PRO version, eliminating the need for an additional grip cover, and allowing the bottom part to be fully grasped by the palm for a more comfortable and relaxed grip. Additionally, the Lite-type external module slot has been adjusted to provide more fitting installation space for external modules of different shapes, making it more convenient.
R and RS versions add 2 extra trims, allowing for more precise tunings during the operations. The slider levers on both sides of the transmitter support adjusting the positioning of the center, catering to different users' habits and preferences. The primary input components, including trim caps, center-slider caps, and knobs are all made from metal, offering rugged quality and enhanced durability for outdoor use.
The newly upgraded antenna handle incorporates the good capability of impact resistance facing the tough conditions of outdoor fields. The reinforced and thickened antenna casing is better suited for comfort gripping but also does not compromise the antenna's performance. On the contrary, the redesigned antenna can transmit signal data more effectively, providing pilots with a more reliable flying control experience.
The X20R & X20RS are also equipped with 2 external antenna connectors, which can be mounted with additional 2.4G and 900M antennas for enhancing the RF capabilities working under the LoRa modes, to achieve enhanced long-range control.
BUILT-IN MASS STORAGE & TEXT TO SPEECH FUNCTION
To save the user the trouble of deciding the storage capacity, both R and RS versions have a built-in 8GB flash storage that offers big storage to meet all your radio's storage needs with high data transmission speed.
Thanks to the upgraded storage feature, the TTS (Text-to-Speech) function of X20 RS versions can quickly and conveniently convert typed input English words into spoken speech. This enables the ETHOS system to more flexibly match the triggered operational status using generated speech audio when specific functions are activated and to alert clear outdoors with the digital power amplifier module.
DUAL-SIDE HAPTIC GIMBAL FEEDBACK The gimbal vibration feedback function can be easily enabled or disabled by setting a switch. The dual-sided Gimbal's vibration feedback can operate independently, allowing the configuration to match distinct feedback preferences tailored to various application scenarios for RC enthusiasts.
EASY TRAVELl-ADJUSTABLE MC20R GIMBALS (with ANY DESIRED DEGREE BETWEEN 45? to 60?)
The MC20R Gimbals also has an 8? rotatable panel and can be adjusted to a 45? travel position. What's even better is that the angle is not limited to just 45? and 60?, the MC20R Gimbal allows for adjustment of any travel position between 45? and 60?. To enhance convenience for pilots in outdoor applications, the angle travel position can be directly adjusted using a 1.5mm hexagon screwdriver through the adjustment hole on the Gimbal Panel, eliminating the need to disassemble the radio casing.

There's just not enough Oh's in SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH.
Beautiful, isn't she?
And like all great ladies, her graceful ways are evident the moment she takes to the skies.
The Minuette is designed to mimic the look and feel of those wonderful Edwardian flying machines that were flown by those magnificent men.
Building the wing is a snap, as all of the ribs are laser-cut as part of our WEB-LOCK construction for proper alignment with minimum fuss.
If you want to go truly "old school", it can be built for simple 3-channel control (rudder, elevator, and throttle). For even more control, the included ailerons can be made fully functional (4-channel control).
Although power can come from glow or electric powerplants, a simple 3s electric setup is really what the Minuette is designed around. We've created the fuselage with a huge top hatch so you have quick access to batteries and a radio, and it also hides the wing bolts.
In the air, the Minuette is a simple, easy-to-fly cruising aircraft. Takeoffs are in just a few feet, even from grass runways. Once airborne, relax and gently glide her through the air through a series of low-passes, gentle turns, and even horizontal figure eights. With a 3200mAh battery, you can easily achieve 10+ minute flights with plenty of battery left for some touch-and-go's before landing.
The Minuette can even handle a bit of light wind without too much problem, and she is at her best taking off and landing into those gentle winds, if possible.
Please note that the Minuette is not designed (or stressed) for aerobatics. Also, the removable flying wires in the Accessory kit are decorative and not needed to fly - just to look great.

Fast when you want it to be, slow when you need it to be, and always stylin'.
In the full-scale aviation world, the Very Light Jet category (VLJ) is comprised of small business jets that seat four to eight people. They give private pilots the speed to effortlessly zip past an ordinary Cessna 172 on the way to a weekend fly-in. With a VLJ, the pilot would be finished eating that $100 hamburger before the 172 even enters the landing pattern.
The design of our Raven is inspired by Terry Dunn's VLJ design published years ago in Fly R/C magazine. Although Terry's original design was a simple, foam park-flyer, it had great lines reminiscent of the VLJs that Cirrus, Sonex and others now produce - or even possibly Mooney, if they had ventured into private jets back in the day.
We based the size of the Raven around a 64mm EDF - a power system that's inexpensive, readily available, and has plenty of power for this type of design. It's mounted right up-top, in the air flow channel of the fuselage. From there, we massaged and reworked Terry's design, adding landing gear and re-engineering the fuselage to have a removable wing section. A little tuck here, a little snip there, and the Raven was born.
The Raven's wing is a snap to build. It utilizes our unique WEB-LOCK wing construction to lock in critical alignment locations. The stressed balsa skin makes the panels very light and surprisingly rugged.
We've designed the Raven's fuselage to be self-aligning, with a light-weight internal structure for added strength. Surrounding this is the outer balsa skin, which is strong, light-weight, and twist-resistant. Overall, this balsa/ply airframe is uncomplicated, lightweight, easy to build, and features precision laser-cut parts that fit together quickly and accurately.
Oh, and let's not forget that V-Tail. It's the Raven's party piece - the touch that gives it that unique look - its swagger - its style.
The wing is removable for storage/transport and for giving access to the radio/servo area. From there, you have easy access to install the radio and ESC. What's more, the fully assembled model can fit in the trunk of most cars.
Up front, there's a large hatch, which gives quick access to the battery and nose-gear. The hatch's spring-loaded latch makes swapping in a fresh pack a breeze.
When it comes time to fly, the Raven will surprise you in a number of ways: First, is the takeoff roll - it's shorter than you might expect!
Second, the Raven's wide flight envelope. It's just as much at home cruising around the pattern at lower throttle settings as it is tearing up the skies at full-throttle. Next is the Raven's surprising aerobatic capabilities. Now you'll never confuse this for a pattern ship, but Raven can easily perform loops, rolls, 1/2 Cubans, split-S, inverted flight and more - and most without needing a dive to start.
Lastly is the controllability. Even at very low speeds, you'll always feel that you have control of the Raven. And that controllability is a welcoming feeling when it comes time to land smoothly, slowly, and right down the runway.

FEATURES:
High Wing Configuration For Stability
Flat Bottom Airfoil For Slow Flight Speed
Tricycle Landing Gear For Easy Takeoffs And Landings
Back in 1970, the February issue of RCM magazine featured a construction article of a design that took the pattern world by storm. This revolutionary design was the brainchild of Joe Bridi and it went on to be one of the most successful pattern and sport models of all time.
This outstanding, contest-winning model was the Kaos and we've based our kit on that same original design, updating it's construction with laser-cut precision, yet keeping all of the outstanding flying characteristics that made the original a legend.
In addition to our unique WEB-LOCK wing construction, this kit also includes a wing jig which makes assembling this triple-tapered wing a snap. Using our techniques, you'll quickly build a wing that's accurate and true - it just so easy to build!
The fuselage is built around a self-aligning, light-weight box for added strength. Surrounding this is the outer balsa skin that is strong, light-weight and twist resistant even when performing high-stress maneuvers. Overall, this balsa/ply airframe is uncomplicated, lightweight, easy to build, and features precision laser-cut parts that fit together quickly and accurately.
The wing is removable via 2 bolts from the bottom of the fuselage and utilizes a dual-servo setup for accurate aileron control. The wing's thick symmetrical airfoil coupled with the fuselage's long tail moment create a neutrally stable plane. Power can come from glow or electric powerplants. We've designed the fuselage with a magnetic top hatch so you have quick access to either your fuel tank or batteries.
Because of the Kaos' simple, clean design, it's a pattern plane you'll instantly feel comfortable flying. What's more, you'll become a better pilot because the Kaos let's you concentrate on technique, not distractions like pipes and retracts.
Our Old School Model Work's Kaos 60 is a Senior Pattern Association and Vintage R/C Society legal design for vintage and retro pattern competitions.

This kit can literally be built as fast as the modeler can apply CA glue and accelerator. Fantastic flight performance using either 2-stroke or 4-stroke engines. The aerobatic capabilities of this model are virtually unlimited due to its thick airfoil section and very light wing loading. A perfect club contest airplane.

Special notes about electric from Dave: This model makes an excellent electric conversion. My first large electric was one of these on 20 1750FAUP Cells. Yikes, I'd love to do another one with modern packs! Here is how I'd do it. Yes, this is same chart as the 4 Star 40, similar weight and wing area. An under recognized yet excellent electric conversion model. Good weight to wing area. A little troublesome to get large NiMH packs into due to the wing tube. However, with Lipo's it's super easy to fit the pack. Below are my suggestions for a range of practical power systems.

An easy-flying 2-meter glider for when you want to slow things down for a while.
Whether you prefer power-assisted take-offs, high-starts, or slope soaring, this easy-to-build glider is the perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon.
We've gone the extra mile to ensure that the Wayfarer is as easy to build as it is to fly. There's a wealth of laser-cut balsa and plywood parts that go together straight and true. Laser-cutting even extends to the wing sheeting giving you the perfect fit.
A wing that is 2-meters long can be tough to transport so we've designed the Wayfarer's wing as two, plug-in panels.
As a bonus, we've also included all the parts needed to make the removable power pod.
Radio: o 2-3 channel system o 2, 40-70 in./oz. mini servos o 3s 2200mah
Power: o 2204/2206 sized brushless motor, 5" prop, 25amp esc
WEB-LOCK Construction There's nothing else like it. Build our wings, straight and true - with a minimum amount of fuss.
