Virtual State of the Union 2013 (Guns)

Some of you may be aware of my uncompromising belief in Liberty. I wrote about the Newtown tradgedy earlier this year in an article titled: Evil Finds A Way.

Bill Whittle has an interesting series of video’s called “The Virtual President”. See what he would say if he were president. Free speech at work.

President calls for review of “Stand Your Ground”.

Huffington post article: Obama Calls for Review of Stand Your Ground Laws After Trayvon Verdict

Obama: “I think it would be useful for us to examine some state and local laws to see if it — if they are designed in such a way that they may encourage the kinds of altercations and confrontations and tragedies that we saw in the Florida case, rather than defuse potential altercations,”

My HPO Remarks: “In order to have a more docile public, perhaps we should replace it (Stand Your Ground) with “Bend over and take it.” No Mr. president, requiring people to turn their back on a potential killer is like running from a dog, cowardice invites trouble. Only in a society where government owns it’s citizens can one rationalize government approved self defense. I own me.”

Transcript from Richard Reid Sentencing: Judge William Young

Judge William Young’s Closing Comments To Shoe Bomber Richard Reid. Great words of courage and love of Liberty.

US District Court Judge William Young made the following statement in sentencing “shoe bomber” Richard Reid to prison. It is noteworthy, and deserves to be remembered far longer than he predicts. I commend it to you and to anyone you might wish to forward it to.

January 30, 2003, United States vs. Reid. Judge Young: Mr. Richard C. Reid, hearken now to the sentence the Court imposes upon you.

On counts 1, 5 and 6 the Court sentences you to life in prison in the custody of the United States Attorney General. On counts 2, 3, 4 and 7, the Court sentences you to 20 years in prison on each count, the sentence on each count to run consecutive with the other. That’s 80 years. On count 8 the Court sentences you to the mandatory 30 years consecutive to the 80 years just imposed. The Court imposes upon you each of the eight counts a fine of $250,000 for the aggregate fine of $2 million.

The Court accepts the government’s recommendation with respect to restitution and orders restitution in the amount of $298.17 to Andre Bousquet and $5,784 to American Airlines. The Court imposes upon you the $800 special assessment.

The Court imposes upon you five years supervised release simply because the law requires it. But the life sentences are real life sentences so I need go no further.

This is the sentence that is provided for by our statutes. It is a fair and just sentence. It is a righteous sentence. Let me explain this to you. We are not afraid of any of your terrorist co-conspirators,

Mr. Reid. We are Americans. We have been through the fire before. There is all too much war talk here. And I say that to everyone with the utmost respect. Here in this court, where we deal with individuals as individuals, and care for individuals as individuals, as human beings we reach out for justice, you are not an enemy combatant. You are a terrorist. You are not a soldier in any war. You are a terrorist. To give you that reference, to call you a soldier gives you far too much stature. Whether it is the officers of government who do it or your attorney who does it, or that happens to be your view, you are a terrorist. And we do not negotiate with terrorists. We do not sign documents with terrorists. We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice.

So war talk is way out of line in this court. You are a big fellow. But you are not that big. You’re no warrior. I know warriors. You are a terrorist.

A species of criminal guilty of multiple attempted murders. In a very real sense Trooper Santiago had it right when you first were taken off that plane and into custody and you wondered where the press and where the TV crews were and he said you’re no big deal. You’re no big deal.

What your counsel, what your able counsel and what the equally able United States attorneys have grappled with and what I have as honestly as I know how tried to grapple with, is why you did something so horrific. What was it that led you here to this courtroom today? I have listened respectfully to what you have to say. And I ask you to search your heart and ask yourself what sort of unfathomable hate led you to do what you are guilty and admit you are guilty of doing. And I have an answer for you. It may not satisfy you. But as I search this entire record it comes as close to understanding as I know. It seems to me you hate the one thing that is most precious. You hate our freedom. Our individual freedom. Our individual freedom to live as we choose, to come and go as we choose, and to believe or not believe as we individually choose.

Here, in this society, the very winds carry freedom. They carry it everywhere from sea to shining sea. It is because we prize individual freedom so much that you are here in this beautiful courtroom. So that everyone can see, truly see that justice is administered fairly, individually, and discretely. It is for freedom’s sake that your lawyers are striving so vigorously on your behalf and have filed appeals, will go on in their, their representation of you before other judges. We are about it. Because we all know that the way we treat you, Mr. Reid, is the measure of our own liberties. Make no mistake though. It is yet true that we will bear any burden, pay any price, to preserve our freedoms.

Look around this courtroom. Mark it well. The world is not going to long remember what you or I say here. Day after tomorrow it will be forgotten. But this, however, will long endure. Here in this courtroom and courtrooms all across America, the American people will gather to see that justice, individual justice, justice, not war, individual justice is in fact being done.

The very President of the United States through his officers will have to come into courtrooms and lay out evidence on which specific matters can be judged, and juries of citizens will gather to sit and judge that evidence democratically, to mold and shape and refine our sense of justice.

See that flag Mr. Reid? That’s the flag of the United States of America. That flag will fly there long after this is all forgotten. That flag stands for freedom. You know it always will.

Custody Mr. Officer. Stand him down.

Should Government Pick Winners and Losers?

Licenses are an objection to Liberty. They stand in the way of voluntary exchange. To be free, you and I must be at Liberty to negotiate exchanges voluntarily. I ask you, what is wrong with Liberty? Check out this video and see if your confidence in big brother might be just a little shaken.

Makes you think a bit doesn’t it! I ask you, are you for Liberty? Seriously?

John Morse Recall Election in Colorado

liberty objector john morse
If your gun is stolen and used in a crime, he want’s to prosecute you! He want’s to limit teachers self defense options. He favors lamenting funerals over celebrating a hero. Recall Senator John Morse
200% of the signatures required to boot this Liberty Objector out of office through the recall process have been submitted. Bye bye John Morse, president of the senate and lead Liberty Objector in Colorado.

The Huffing Post: John Morse Recall Looms; Gun-Rights Activists Gather Double The Signatures Needed For Recall Of Colorado Senator

My public comments left with the story:

Let us cast this Objector to Liberty out on his ear. It’s the ideology of John Morse in their legislation for Colorado that one man can be held responsible for another mans evil deeds. It’s people like him that set up the situations where 20 children can get shot in the face un-opposed by even one lawfully armed and free citizen. He favors the current public school policy of lamenting funerals over celebrating hero’s. Lets let Liberty Ring in public schools. If Liberty were not obstructed by laws designating our public property non-constitutionally free places. (can you believe we stand for that!) then perhaps 4 or 5 of the school teachers would have been armed and this madman’s fantasy could have been avoided or greatly reduced. I am for celebrating hero’s over lamenting funerals. Let us ridicule the ideology which includes forced membership in the Church of Safety Through Weakness. Limiting our teachers and administrators to only running, hiding or fighting back with scissors is irrational, evil and just plain heartless. Do you know why it’s such a joke to go to a gun fight with a knife? Because it’s sooooo stupid. Let us end the tyranny these Objectors to Liberty have established on our public property. Lets us push this ideology back into the dumpster of history’s failed Darwin Awards to which it belongs. I am for Liberty, no apologies.

Tentative Agreement Reached To Appease.

Widely reported, for the first time since the tragedy in Newtown where a madman was allowed free reign in a public school to kill all he wanted, a new gun control law is on the horizon.

See story below:
Bipartisan Gun Control Agreement Announced On Background Checks Huffington Post

While the “Gun Show Loophole” continues to be tossed around. Notice the news never explains that all commercial sales at gun shows already are put through a NICS check. The only sales that are not put through the background check are those between private individuals. Yet, the “loophole” term is tossed around in a way to convince people that you can go to a gun show and buy whatever you want from whomever you want without a background check. It’s a lie, a deception. The only sales of firearms without a background check are those between private individuals. If you trade with a neighbor or co-worker, there is no background check. Like wise, if you go to a gun show and rent a table (they are swap meets) to sell your unwanted items, you are allowed to sell your private property, including a firearm without putting your buyer through a background check. It’s a private sale, your not a gun store, your not under the same restrictions as a gun store. According to reports, the new law still allows sale between private individuals without a background check. So, what have they done?

The problem is laws hindering Liberty, making some citizens 2nd class (not completely free) like teachers and school administrators for example. The problem is your and my public property being made a preferential treatment zone for criminals and non-free Liberty Objecting zone for law abiding citizens. The predator goes to the easy prey, where the prey is weak and neutered by Liberty’s Objectors of any defense. As fantasized, he has his way with the prey, prey the church of “safety through weakness” created. Created by Liberty’s Objectors. I lay at the feet of these church zealots not the madman’s act, rather that he is allowed his force to kill so many without forceful objection. May we in our time, rather than lamenting the deaths of many at the hands of madmen, come to trust teachers and administrators with full citizenship. We should be celebrating the hero Principle leaving madmen like Lanza in a pool of his own blood. Of course, it wouldn’t serve the purpose of disarming America, so more will die and the cycle of ignorance, the cycle of hindering Liberty as part of an evil advance against Freedom continues. There is no objective morality in using force of the state to prevent a free citizen from using deadly force to protect themselves and those they love against deadly force. By addressing a problem created by Objectors to Liberty in a way that does not remove Liberty’s hindrance, we do nothing. Cowards and Conspirators with Madmen win.

We deserve a more objective reasoned governance in this country. What are you willing to do about it?

South Dakota Respects Liberty, Defends Children From “Safety through Weakness” Zealots.

A terrible injustice against our educational employee’s, administrators, school children and Liberty is slowly being broken down. Why do so many have to die before we examine the religion of “safety through weakness”? In the past, there have been those who were nearly universally successful in establishing law and practices Objecting to Liberty. In collusion with those who objectors, your employees, our lawmakers have created freedom and Liberty exclusion zones on your very own property. Public property, YOUR PROPERTY, where some citizens are not permitted to be fully free citizens. South Dakota has decided to break the hold of those that would use force to impose their cult of “safety through weakness” upon free American citizens. The objectors to Liberty have been dealt a blow. Let us continue our struggle against this alternate form of government and bankrupt philosophy. We are America, built by strong Individualists, we are Liberated, we are Free and none of those advances for mankind arose from weakness or bending to the wind of evil.

I applaud the citizens of South Dakota for pushing this important step through into law. A step back in the direction of Liberty. The fight is not over until even this law and it’s exceptions to Liberty is fully replaced across land with a simple notation respecting fully; “……the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

American’s Live by Force or Persuasion?

Rand Paul explains Liberty to one of Liberty Objectors, Mrs. Hogan.

Step by step they we are crushed under the forceful heal of “do gooders”. I believe in voluntary exchange and Liberty. Perhaps we as taxpayers could save money and be better served by eliminating this Objector to Liberty? We win twice when we take one of these people and prevent them from being a net tax consumer and “allow” them to become a net tax payer.

Can we get our noses out of other peoples business? I wonder what it costs us to have this person butting into everybody’s life. Realize she does it at OUR request and at OUR expense. Tired of paying for your own whipping yet?
