The Barracuda is designed around the current (2025) E2K club racing rules, but we also found that it makes a fantastic everyday sport plane with a wide flight envelope.
The overall design meets and exceeds the E2K sport racing specifications for wingspan, wing area, and various fuselage measurements. It's a grassroots, low-cost form of racing that puts the emphasis on the pilot - not on how much the pilot can spend.
Click here to download a copy of those rules and see you can use them to hold your own club races at your field.
All of this comes in a great-looking design that is remarkably easy to build, thanks to our innovative design techniques and precision laser-cut parts.
We kept the parts count low so you can build it quickly. Believe it or not, you can go from box to full-framed up in one weekend - with time to spare! Because of the interlocking design and high-quality laser cutting of the parts, not only does it build quickly, but it also builds straight and true as all of the parts were designed to align properly with a minimum of fuss and alignment tools.
The wing is removable, giving access to the inside of the cabin area. From there, you have easy access to install most any brand of radio and control linkages. Up-front, we've designed in a large hatch that covers the battery compartment. This area will easily handle 2200mAh 3s and 4s packs.
All framed up, the Barracuda weighs just under 12 ounces, and the Barracuda's construction gives it surprising rigidity to handle most anything you can throw at it.
For club racing, pop in a 4s, 2200mAh pack and tear up the sky. Challenge your club members to see who can get the best time.
But there's more to the Barracuda than just speed. It's a very capable aerobatic design as well. Loops, rolls, inverted flight, Cuban-8s, split-S, and more are all within its capabilities.
And after you're done tearing up the skies, throttle down to easily cruise around the field. Then when the time's right, set up for a nice, controlled landing. The Barracuda's efficient airfoil gives it a good glide ratio, which makes setting up for a landing less stressful than you might think.
When it comes time to land, by design, E2k racers are belly landed on grass. Because we designed the fuselage from a strong, lite ply base, it takes the worry out of damage to the Barracuda each time you touch down.
But I know what you're asking now. "What if I don't have a grass field to land on?" We also offer a skid pack for the Barracuda, which easily bolts on to each side of the fuselage. These replaceable skids allow you to land on rough and paved surfaces without damaging the Barracuda's fuselage. A pair of skids weighs just 11.4 grams, so they have zero impact on the C.G. or on the Barracuda's flight performance.

Use a 2S battery for slow flying indoors in large gymnasiums and other suitable spaces, in many yards, at most parks and sports fields - and to perform basic aerobatics including loops, rolls, and inverted flight. Or use a 3S 1300-2200mAh battery to hover and perform even more aggressive aerobatics thanks to the stiff and fully-molded EPO tails and wing with a semi-symmetrical airfoil. You can even install a second aileron servo to take advantage of the added capabilities flaperons and spoilerons offer. The Slow Ultra Stick is simple yet extremely capable while also being incredibly easy to fly for low-time pilots looking for a perfect "Next Step" after a trainer model and for experienced pilots looking for a model that offers a no hassles "mild to wild" flight experience they can't get with any other model.
Overview
The E-flite® Slow Ultra Stick 1.2m is based on the more modern-day design of Ultra Stick models yet was inspired by classic "Stick" models from the past. In the early 2000s, slow-flying Stick models took the market by storm because they were affordable, simple, and easy to fly. But they often took many hours to assemble with glue and tape and required significant modifications to achieve more performance and capabilities. The Slow Ultra Stick combines the benefits of those Stick models with modern-day capabilities, features, and performance due to the fully-molded and composite-reinforced tails plus wing with semi-symmetrical airfoil and ailerons. It also features a 2S and 3S-compatible brushless power system, including an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart ESC. Plus, it's equipped with an AR630 receiver to deliver real-time telemetry data along with AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. It's capable of slow and easy cruising, sport flying, and even aggressive aerobatics - all in the same flight - to offer a unique and truly "mild to wild" flying experience unlike any other model available today. This makes it possible to fly indoors in large gymnasiums and other similar spaces or outdoors in yards, parks, at sports fields, and beyond, making it a versatile addition to the hangar for a wide variety of pilots! Best of all, unlike similar Stick models in the past that were only available as kits or ARFs, the Slow Ultra Stick arrives mostly factory-assembled with the power system, servos, and receiver installed. All you need to do is finish some quick and easy final bolt-together assembly - without glue, tape, or special tools - and you'll be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! And even though it's conveniently sized so it can be stored and transported without disassembly, the two-piece wing is quick and easy to install/remove with two thumbscrews for even easier storage and transport.
All Slow Ultra Stick 1.2m models (EFL0350) include an updated version fuselage joiner (as of November 2023) and updated version landing gear legs (as of July 2023)

INSTA-SET(TM) is a catalyst which acts as an accelerator that allows CAs to quickly cure in thick layers by enhancing the alkaline conditions during polymerization. INSTA-SET(TM) in a spray bottle is normally used to cure the CA that flows from joints when parts are pressed together. Applying an additional bead of thick CA along a seam and then curing it with INSTA-SET(TM) significantly enhances a joint's strength. For difficult to bond materials, INSTA-SET(TM) can be applied to one surface and CA to the opposite surface. When brought together, they will bond instantly. INSTA-SET(TM) is formulated with a strawberry scent and activates CA in 6 to 8 seconds without any degrading of the CAs strength, which can occur with many other accelerators. It is compatible with all surfaces, even clear plastic and white foam.
USES:
All Cyanoacrylates
DIRECTIONS:
After joining parts with cyanoacrylate (CA, super glue), spray the seams with Insta-Set(TM) to cure the CA in 8 seconds. A bead of CA can then be applied to the outside and corners of joints before another application of Insta-Set(TM) to reinforce their strength. Insta-Set(TM) can also be applied to one part (with CA on the other) before joining for difficult to bond materials. Insta-Set(TM) is compatible with all surfaces, including clear plastic and all foams. It also is a great cleaning agent for adhesive residue and scuff marks. Store separately from CAs.
Ultra-Cure(TM) is a very high performance clear cyanoacrylate that has a viscosity (thickness) in-between that of Insta-Cure Super Thin and Insta-Cure+ Gap Filling Medium. It is ideal for the mounting of rubber tires onto R/C car wheels. It is available in our 3/4 oz Pocket CA bottle and comes with one of our new #304 Extender Tips for the Pocket CA pin-in-cap top. ULTRA-CURE(TM) can be used in many other applications that require a slightly thicker thin CA and will bond virtually everything. It is not foam-safe, however.
USES:
R/C rubber tires
DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Carefully lift the sidewall of the tire after it is mounted to the wheel to expose the area to be bonded. Apply a drop of Ultra-Cure(TM)CA Tire Glue into the gap, then slowly return the tire to its seated position. Continue this process around the circumference of the tire. Repeat these steps for the other side. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing screw-on top. Refrigerate to extend shelf life when not in use. Ultra-Cure(TM)is also superior for bonding most other materials. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Insta-Cure+(TM) is a higher viscosity CA for loose fitting joints in which the adhesive must bridge gaps. Normally, the thicker CA is applied to one surface and then the parts are held tightly together for about 5 to 15 seconds. For large surface areas, including those with close fitting joints such as laminations, INSTA-CURE+ (TM) should also be used. To prevent premature curing, don't spread the glue into a thin film. Lay down a serpentine bead with about 1" separations on one surface, then assemble the parts, letting the pressure spread the CA out.
Works Best On:
Balsa Wood
Soft Wood
Works Good On:
Hard Wood
Glass & Metal
Fiberglass
Ceramics
Hard Plastics
Rubber
Laminating
Water-Resistant
Reinforcing
DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Apply Insta-Cure+(TM) CA to one side of the parts being joined, then hold them tightly together for 5-15 seconds. For larger bonding areas, apply serpentine beads of the CA with enough spacing to allow for the spreading of the adhesive. Insta-Set(TM) accelerator can be sprayed to cure the CA that oozes from joints. Full strength is reached in three hours. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing screw-on top. Refrigerate to extend shelf life. Cured CA is stable from -40° to 220° F. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Maxi-Cure(TM) extra thick CA is the best CA for most plastics, including GE's Lexan MAXI-CURE(TM) is the best choice for plastic model assembly. When used with INSTA-SET(TM), it works better than any putty for modifying or filling voids. It can be carved with a knife or razor blade and sanded and feathered to form a finish indistinguishable from plastic. MAXI-CURE(TM) bonds fiberglass, hardwood, metal and rubber better than any other hobby adhesive. For gluing to the inside, cloth textured surface of fiberglass, scrape the area to be bonded with a razor blade or coarse sandpaper before using MAXI-CURE(TM) or any other adhesive. It also is best for bonding the tires for R/C cars. MAXI-CURE(TM) has proven to be very popular in the archery business for the fletching of vanes onto aluminum and carbon arrow shafts. Along with being the strongest, MAXI-CURE(TM) is usually the least expensive option for this application.

DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Apply Maxi-Cure(TM) CA to one side of the parts being joined, then hold them tightly to- gether for 10-20 seconds. Cured CA is stable from -40 to 220? F. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Plastic-Cure(TM) is a gap-filling formulation of CA that works best on plastics. It is packaged in a bottle with a brush built into its top, which in many cases is an easier way to apply the CA. As long as brush is put back into the bottle after use, the bristles of the brush will not harden. Care must be taken, however, not to introduce foreign material into the bottle. The brush should not be used, for example, to apply CA to wood that has been freshly sanded. Plastic-Cure will also bond wood, but its brush applicator at times will not be the best way to apply it. Plastic-Cure is superior for the application of false nails and wraps on fingernails, where its brush is the preferred method of application.
USES:
Plastics
Wood
Foam
False nails and wraps on fingernails
DIRECTIONS:
Carefully unscrew the cap. Brush on Plastic-Cure(TM) to one surface of the parts being joined, then hold parts tightly together for 10-20 seconds. Plastic-Cure(TM) won't frost clear plastic and works on white foam. Insta-Set(TM) Accelerator must be used when bonding two pieces of foam together. Full strength is reached in 3 hours. Excess cured adhesive can be removed by rubbing the area with a paper towel soaked in Un-Cure(TM). Refrigerate to extend shelf life. Cured CA is stable from -40° to 220° F.
Insta-Cure(TM) has a water-thin viscosity that wicks deep into joints by capillary action and cures in a matter of a few seconds. Surfaces to be bonded must be tight fitting and should be held together while you apply the CA around the edges of the seam. At the moment CAs cure, they give off a vapor that can irritate the nose and eyes, so be prepared. Thin CAs work very well on balsa since they penetrate into the wood and form more than just a surface bond.

CA Hinges
DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Insta-Cure(TM) CA is used to bond tight fitting parts. Hold the parts together (sometimes using masking tape), then apply the Insta-Cure(TM) along the joints. The CA will penetrate deep into the joints. Bonding will occur in 1-3 seconds. Excess cured CA can be removed from surfaces like ceramics by rubbing with a paper towel soaked in Un-Cure(TM). Full strength is reached in two hours. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing screw-on top. Refrigerate to extend shelf life. Cured CA is stable from -40? to 220? F. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Insta-Flex(TM) flexible thin CA is ideal for many applications, including the installation of CA hinges. When cured, INSTA-FLEX(TM) does not turn brittle and remains clear, even if accelerated with INSTA-SET(TM). It has superior shock resistance. Although not as thin in consistency as INSTA-CURE(TM), INSTA-FLEX(TM) still has good penetrating qualities and its application can be easier to control. For CA hinges, we recommend drilling a 1/16" hole in the center of the hinge slots to insure the complete saturation of the hinge when INSTA-FLEX(TM) is applied. INSTA-FLEX(TM) has a different, less irritating odor compared to regular CA's, but still cannot be used on white foam. INSTA-FLEX(TM) has also proven to be superior when bonding anodized aluminum.

Sorry for the inconvience. This information will be coming soon.
Insta-Flex+(TM) clear rubber toughened has similar qualities to our black IC-2000(TM) but can be used in applications where you do not want the adhesive to be seen. The carbon component of IC-2000(TM) that gives the CA its black color also contributes to its unsurpassed strength. Since INSTA-FLEX+(TM) has this carbon removed, its strength is a little less than IC-2000(TM) but still superior to standard CA's. When esthetics are important and a flexible bond is required, INSTA-FLEX+(TM) is your best choice. It forms superior bonds to soft urethane and vinyl plastics. Both INSTA-FLEX(TM) and INSTA-FLEX+(TM) work well when bonding R/C car tires. When a joint has a larger than normal gap, flexible CA's provide superior shock resistant bonds.

IC-2000(TM) is a rubber-toughened cyanoacrylate that forms superior shock resistant bonds on non-porous surfaces. The black colored CA has added flexibility for the bonding of metals, fiberglass, rubber, carbon-fiber and other advanced materials. For model use, IC-2000(TM) is ideal for the bonding of bulkheads, formers and servo rails to the inside of fiberglass hulls and fuselages. Setup time is 20-40 seconds, which can be accelerated with INSTA-SET(TM). When cured, IC-2000(TM) is pliable enough to be carved with a hobby knife. IC-2000(TM) is the best adhesive for R/C car tires.
IC-2000(TM) has found many uses in industrial applications, such as rubber to rubber bonding by Beechcraft, carbon composite bonding by Boeing, rubber door seals by Volkswagen, speaker and subwoofer assembly in the audio industry and many others that need the most durable, shock resistant fast bonding adhesive that is available.

FOAM-CURE(TM) is a silicone based adhesive that works very well on EPP and EPO foams. It is crystal clear and cures to a more flexible consistency than CA. It is, however, not instant bonding like CA and there is no accelerator to speed it's curing. To obtain a faster initial bond when bonding two pieces, FOAM-CURE(TM) can be applied to one piece and after the two are joined, they can then be pulled apart. After letting it air dry for about ten minutes, FOAM-CURE(TM) will act like a contact cement when the parts are rejoined, resulting in enough tack strength to allow the next steps of assembly. Full strength is reached in 10-12 hours. FOAM-CURE(TM) works with all foams and will actually bond most other materials. It will bond wood and plastic to foam and is a good canopy glue. FOAM-CURE(TM) does not, however, cure flexible enough to act as a hinge for aircraft control surfaces. Its limitations occur when bonding large areas of two non-porous materials. FOAM-CURE(TM) requires exposure to air for drying. If one tried to bond, for example, a half-dollar coin to glass, over 90% of the adhesive would never cure, since the solvent it contains would have nowhere to evaporate. A small amount of denatured alcohol can be mixed into the Foam-Cure to make it thinner. Works Best On:
EPP Foam
EOP Foam
Clear Canopy
Paper and Crafts
DIRECTIONS:
Cut off tip of nozzle. Apply to one part before joining. Use tape to hold parts in place during cure. For faster curing, pull the joint apart and let Foam-Cure(TM) air dry for 5-10 min before rejoining the parts. This results in enough tack strength to allow the next steps of assembly. Full cure takes 10-12 hours. Foam-Cure(TM) works on all foams, especially on EPP and EPO, and will bond a porous surface to non-porous materials. Foam-Cure(TM) is also an excellent glue for clear canopies, and will also bond paper. If needed, denatured alcohol can be used to thin or clean up uncured Foam-Cure(TM). Replace cap after use.
SLOW-CURE(TM) 30 min. epoxy works best for forming reinforcing fillets on joints. It has the highest strength of our epoxies. It is waterproof and more heat resistant. SLOW-CURE(TM) can be used for bonding if you're willing to wait overnight. Fillers such as microballoons can be mixed with SLOW-CURE(TM) and FINISH-CURE(TM) to form a putty-like consistency. Such fillers will usually decrease the working time by about 25%. Bonded objects can be handled after 8 hours and the cured epoxy reaches full strength within 24 hours.
Works Best On:
Glass & Metal
Fiberglass
White Foam
Water-Resistant
Reinforcing
Works Good On:
Balsa Wood
Soft Wood
Hard Wood
Hard Plastics
Laminating
DIRECTIONS:
SLOW-CURE(TM) 30 min. Epoxy is an equal two-part hobby adhesive that forms high strength bonds through a chemical reaction between the resin and hardener. The cured epoxy is resistant to most chemicals.
SLOW-CURE(TM) has the highest strength of our epoxies and should be applied in temperatures above 70°F. SLOW-CURE(TM) maintains its strength in both the lowest and highest temperature ranges of our line of epoxies.
SLOW-CURE(TM) bonds best to clean, textured surfaces. Smooth, non-porous surfaces should be roughened with coarse sandpaper to improve adhesion. Acetone and Isopropyl rubbing alcohol work as the best solvents for cleaning uncured epoxy from surfaces. SLOW-CURE(TM) works best for forming reinforcing fillets on joints and can be mixed with micro balloons or other fillers to form putty-like consistency. SLOW-CURE(TM) is waterproof and forms superior bonds if you're willing to wait overnight. It has better penetration of porous surfaces for better bonding. Full cure in 6-8 hours.
QUIK-CURE(TM) 5 min. epoxy cures to a slightly flexible consistency. This lack of brittleness allows it to form a lasting bond in areas subjected to high vibration or stress.
QUIK-CURE(TM) shouldn't be used in areas that are subject to long-term immersion in water; however, it works fine for the internal structure of wood framed boats.
QUIKCURE(TM) is our only epoxy on which you can apply polyester resins. It can be mixed with microballoons to form a quick setting putty. Items bonded with QUIK-CURE(TM) can be handled after 15 minutes. Full strength is reached in 1 hour. Works Best On:
Hard Wood
Glass & Metal
Works Good On:
Balsa Wood
Soft Wood
Fiberglass
Ceramics
Hard Plastics
White Foam

QUIK-CURE(TM) 5 min. Epoxy is an equal two-part hobby adhesive that forms high strength bonds through a chemical reaction between the resin and hardener. The cured epoxy is resistant to most chemicals.
QUIK-CURE(TM) is the least temperature sensitive of our epoxies. It will cure in temperatures down to 40°F. Temperatures above 90°F shorten the working time before the epoxy begins to set up from 5 to less than 4 minutes.
QUIK-CURE(TM) bonds best to clean, textured surfaces. Smooth, non-porous surfaces should be roughened with coarse sandpaper to improve adhesion. Acetone and Isopropyl rubbing alcohol work as the best solvents for cleaning uncured epoxy from surfaces. QUIK-CURE'S(TM) lack of brittleness allows it to form lasting bonds on materials as different as balsa wood and glass; however, it is not recommended for areas subject to long-term immersion in water. Cured QUIK-CURE(TM) can be coated with polyester resin without affecting the curing of the resin. Full cure in less than 15 minutes.

MID-CURE(TM) 15 min. epoxy is used in larger areas where more working time is needed. It is more water resistant and can be used as a substitute for QUIK-CURE(TM) in most applications.
MID-CURE(TM) is our most flexible epoxy and is ideal for gluing to fiberglass surfaces. Allow 45 minutes before handling parts and 2 hours for full strength. Works Best On:
Hard Wood
Fiberglass
