Anderson Power Pole plastic connector housings are designed to interlock together. These pins will lock the connectors/housings together and keep them from sliding apart. When the connectors are mated together, there is a channel or hole into which these locking pins can be pushed into place. Easily inserted and removed with needle nose pliers.
