Special undersize cutter. Use to ream GWS 3x3 and 3x2 props for 1.5mm shaft brushless motors and the EDP50XC (Direct Drive IPS Motor) applications. If props aren't reamed before use, it is possible to push backplate off of motor. The factory holes in these props are inconsistent and often way too tight.
A prop reamer enlarges and trues the center bore of a propeller so it seats cleanly on the motor or engine shaft. Because props and shafts come in many sizes, a reamer lets you open a hub to the exact diameter you need for a snug, concentric fit.
FOX Reamers
The FOX SAE step prop reamer works through a series of stepped diameters in inch sizes, while FOX metric reamers cover metric shafts. For bigger hubs, the FOX Large Metric reamer is sized for 10 and 12 range bores, suiting larger propellers.
Small Bore Reaming
For small props, the 1.5mm prop reamer opens tight hubs to fit slender shafts often found on park and electric setups. Working up gradually and checking the fit as you go keeps the bore centered, since an over-reamed hub can leave the prop loose or off balance on the shaft.
