If the student pilot gets disorientated, simply let go of the sticks and the LT-25 will recover and return to level flight within seconds.

Special notes about electric from Dave: This model makes an excellent electric conversion and is perhaps the most popular one of all time. Super light weight, large as or even larger than most 40 size trainers. The only lighter weight 40 size trainer on the market is the Radical RC Intern 66.

A123/LithiumWerks' High Performance Nanophospate lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology delivers high power and energy density combined with excellent performance and extensive life cycling in a lighter weight, more compact package. All AA size cells over 1700mAh should not be fast charged ever! If you repeat this experiment, your on your own. I recommend only factory wall wart charging with units rated of 70mAh or less for these type cells. Break in (first forming charge) on 50mAh factory wall charger 700mAh-19.6 hours,1100-30.8 hours,1650-46.2 hours, 2500-70 hours. For 70mAh wall charger deduct 28% of time, for 100mAh wall charger deduct 50% of time. Forming charge (initial charge) on peak detection chargers is not recommended and voids warranty. Any peak or fast charger use on this pack voids warranty. Don't bother calling trying to get a warranty for failing to follow instructions. I've heard all the stories. They all end like this, "My battery does not cycle well now." and "It worked ok for a while but now it runs down fast shortly after charging". If you put any AA cell over 1700mAh capacity on your peak charger, it's bad. I've already made theses tests for you so you could avoid the pain. If you ruin one of these mega capacity TX packs, just order a new one and do better the second time.

Yikes, I'd love to do another one with modern packs! Here is how I'd do it. Yes, this is same chart as the 4 Star 40, similar weight and wing area. An under recognized yet excellent electric conversion model. Good weight to wing area. A little troublesome to get large NiMH packs into due to the wing tube. However, with Lipo's it's super easy to fit the pack. Below are my suggestions for a range of practical power systems.

Fits Himax 35 series outrunners and many others. Motor plate is drilled for 4 bolt pattern of 1" (25.4mm)diameter. This is a most common mounting pattern in motors of this class such as Himax 35XX Series and many others (does not fit AXI 28XX motors). Standoffs provided in 4 different lengths to aid your setup.
