Brad point bits are used in non-metal applications only. Perfect for wood! The center point of the drill will make the bit track much straighter through wood than any other kind of bit. These bits are also to easier to get nice exit hole with less tear out. It's even possible to drill holes with part of the bit off the edge of the wood. Brad points are a secret of real craftsmen!
