V-Tail and Elevon Mixers

V-Tail and Elevon Mixers

A mixer combines two control channels so a pair of surfaces can act together, which is what a V-tail or a flying-wing elevon setup requires. Feeding both signals through the right mix lets each surface handle its share of pitch and yaw, or pitch and roll, from ordinary transmitter inputs.

What a Mixer Does

On a V-tail, the two angled surfaces share rudder and elevator duties; on an elevon-equipped wing, the surfaces blend elevator and aileron. A hardware mixer takes the receiver outputs and produces the combined movement, which is useful when a transmitter lacks built-in mixing or when you would rather handle it on the aircraft.

Available Mixers

This category includes a V-Tail/Elevon Mixer, the MaxxFlying V-Tail/Elevon Mixer, and a Tail Mixer from Cermark, giving a few options for adding this function to an aircraft that needs it.

Choose a mixer suited to your setup from the list below.
