Let me share with you a very nice email we recieved 11-12-2009. I think Art built a Micro Stick.
I bought your kit last Sat and today is Thursday. I opened the kit at 7pm. I HAD THE WING AND THE FUSELAGE DONE BY 830PM. This is a great design kit and some how you need to get this out there some how. I mean it is a pleasure to assemble something that is designed this good and the wood was great. I ordered three more kits the next one I will assemble, video the build and post it on You Tube. If it flies half as good as it builds it will be great and I know it will fly well. If you could apply this style building to scale like DR1 or SE5A you would have more orders than you no what to do with. Plus it is that backyard size that is the "now-thing" with lack of flying fields. Good job & thanks, Art Poughkeepsie, NY
Our newest kit! The Stick 600 is the same average size of .40 glow powered Sticks. We left all the ARF out of this one and as a result you can beat the weight of other Sticks by 1.5-3 pounds. Yes, I said POUNDS! The Stick 600 is the lightest weight 40 size Stick (40 size in terms of wing area) that has ever been commercially produced. Build one of these and you will have a unique and rare bird. Flying one will sell you forever on the "light is right" concept. This model easily fits in a ball field if your space is confined. Low wing loading means minimum speed will be similar to many park fliers giving the Stick 600 the widest speed envelope of any of our Stick series kits. Like our other kits in this series, parts are provide for Sport or Eindecker like tails and wing tips. Both in photo were built with sport parts.
This model is everything you expect a Stick to be and everything you expect in a Radical RC kit. Construction is fully interlocking and completely self jigging. It is actually possible to build 90% of the kit prior to applying any adhesive. In fact, most of the assembly is squeezing together friction fit -n- tab self jigged assemblies and applying thin CA sparingly at the conclusion of each assembly. Fit is so good, only the most minimal amount of sanding is needed prior to finish application.
Model is designed specifically for E-power. Predrilled firewalls are included as are blank firewalls and a more short nose mounting location if you want to go glow. I warn you, a hot .25 is all you want here, it's weight is that of a .20 size model in a .40 size fame. Also, the nose is a bit too long to balance with a 16oz lump of a .40 or .46 engine up front. And, it's not needed since you finished glow flying weight will be about 2lbs 14oz on glow. (Not a misprint! Real world weight 2oz under 3lbs are typical).
Instructions include complete breakdown on motor system choices and theory for this model. Because it's so light weight, you can have a legitimate 3S sytstem here. Our prototypes are flying on 3S (foreground) and 4S (background).
Model is built with conventional 2 servo - 2 aileron wing. May be upgraded to 4 servo 3D wing with our 3d Surface kit. With 3D surfaces kit you can run 2 servo big ailerons or 4 servo split aileron/flaperon combo. Expanded surface for elevator and rudder included as in photo. Note, the 3S surfaces kit only works with the "Sport" Vertical Stab.
International buyers, kit box is 37" long and may only be shipped Priority International Mail. Kit only to Canada and Mexico roughly $32, Australia $43, UK $38, Japan $40, you get the idea. Approx. weight of boxed kit is 3lbs, ran shipping estimates based on 3lbs 6oz.

This kit represents one of my favorite activities! Trainer Aerobatics. It's a prefect aircraft to learn on as well yet more aerobatic than any trainer you've ever seen. Much like a traditional .40 size model just shrunk down to park flier size. Light weight simple. Can be built with flat or dihedral wing. If your not learning but like me, you love floating a trainer around or just wringing one out, this is the kit for you.
2-3 Micro Servos, Micro RX, GWS 50XC to S-300 or small Outrunners. Up to 6" props. ESC 2-10 amp. Kit contains 131 precision laser cut parts. Don't forget the Graphics set! A great value that adds that finishing touch to your model! PT-19 Army graphics w/windows as shown.
The Intern 66 is our first entry into larger E-models. Under development for some time. Years of teaching experience was used to evolve the traditional trainer beyond yesterday's standards. As one of my clubs instructors for over a decade, I've developed a real joy for teaching RC and a good knowledge of what works best. Additionally, one of my favorite forms of flying is to take a trainer and thoroughly wring it out showing how exciting and aerobatic this kind of model can be. For the Intern 66 project, I wanted the perfect trainer that was also capable of outpacing any trainer I ever flew in the aerobatic department. This kit is the successful result of our efforts to arrive at such a goal.
Power me with any Power system in the 300 to 700 watt range turning 10-13" props and pitch speeds at 60mph or less.
The "US Army" model pictured foreground is setup 5 degree dihedral with GWS outrunner #007, 983 KV, 3S 3200 pack and weighs 3.33lbs. (52oz). Any of the props below would be good depending on the power level you seek. This model feels like a perfect trainer in flight (except I have my throws a little higher than you'd use for instructing) and is capable of barnstorming aerobatics enough to satisfy anybody. In fact, it will just hold a knife edge with minimal mixing. I fly it currently with a 12-8 APC-E prop and it has unlimited vertical early in the pack. However, I like it best for it's reasonably powerful yet "on the wing" aerobatic capability. She is really sweet! For a student, use this setup with 11-5.5 or 11-7 until they are ready to handle more power. The power "IS" in the prop you know. For styling, I couldn't help myself, the tundra tire look just seems to really set off this decal set.
The Navy Trainer shown background is setup 1 degree dihedral, GWS 008 Outrunner 842 KV, 4S 3000 pack. Weight 3.5lbs (56oz.). This is my brutal stump pulling setup. I fly it currently with a 12-6 prop. As you might imagine from the spec's below it's near pattern like, only slightly heavier and vertical is no problem here. More power than I was originally planning for this kit. We put it together to test the lower dihedral and a power system that I thought nobody would ever want to exceed. Note, with 1 degree dihedral, yaw is pure like a pattern ship, Ailerons must be employed to execute a roll or turn. This is truly brute powerful and outside of where I think most people will like this model best, however I present it here for your consideration along with all probable props you might use here.
(Note pitch speeds higher than 54mph are NOT reccomended, this is a "tractor", not a "racer".)
Over time, consumers have been slowly trained to accept heavier and heavier trainers in the ho-hum 40 size ARF trainer market. The normal range is 5lbs (for a light weight one) and 7lbs near the top of the range with 5.5 t0 6 lbs being more normal. Our Intern 66 smashes today's bloated trainers and sets a new weight standard far superior to even yesterdays finest hand built kits. I've often helped modelers trying to convert 40 size models with 3S power systems. This is usually a big error because the watts per pound you need to get good performance is nearly impossible to obtain in most cases. Here the model is so exceptionally low in weight that you can easily make the "common mistake" a super successful combination here. Never fear, even my lowest wattage setup above will outperform the average glow trainer. I've not listed any slouch setups here.
I am confident in saying this is probably the lightest weight 40 size trainer ever kitted and offered for sale in the history of our sport. It's so light weight perhaps using the word "probably" is being way too cautious but I wish not to offend any excellent accomplishments unknown to me. All in all I feel this is some of the best work I have ever done. You'll really enjoy this build and you'll have a unique and extra special model as a reward.

Radical RC Micro Stick
At Last! A small model that uses simple gear! The Micro Stick is hot at full throttle, faster than you'd expect, yet the wing loading is that of an indoor flyer. Weighing in at only 3oz, it's hard to believe it only needs your typical park flier gear. Two .2oz servos like Pico, DYS0202, HE2003, HE490 or HS-50, a Pico, Berg or FMA M5/6 RX and a 2 amp GWS or Pixie 7P speed control. Any 350 to 760 2S lipo pack works well. The prop reamer below is suggested as the 3-3 props are often too tight on the 50XC motor shaft. Your sure to have fun with this little beast.
Note, Updated to V2 style in 2007. All Micro Sticks now have space frame formers, landing gear plate (for optional landing gear if you like), tail weight/material reduction, larger magnets, front wing centering pin, formerless battery floor and overall even more rugged.
Specifications: Weight 3oz, Wing Area: 88 Sq. in., Wing Span: 17", Length: 14.5" long. Wing is held on with a simple magnet! So, you can change the battery in a flash. We know you'll enjoy the new Micro Stick.

1/20/2005 Hi folks, got the package today. Super. My wife and I put the plane together in about fifteen minutes (no glue, just for fun). I kept saying "this is amazing, how well the pieces fit and how easy it is to build". The most incredible part was how strong the wing was with no glue. Just the pieces snapped into place. What a great kit. .... Thanks and aloha, DP, Hot Springs Arizona

Radical RC Micro Bipe
Get out the fly swatter boys!
If you've grown comfortable with our Micro Stick, perhaps you are ready for the Micro Bipe. This aggressive little beast does not know it shouldn't be able to fly. Kit comes with all the parts required to build with the large top wing (13.8" span pictured) for intermediate pilots or the small top wing (only 10.8"!!!) for the bolder more advanced pilots. Comes complete with pushrod wire, horns, rod end keepers, landing gear wire and wheels.
Suggested (not included) components are Trurnigy 1606 outrunner, DYS0202 4.4g or Hitec HS-50 or Heco 490/540 servos (sub .2oz), Berg 4L/6-GWS Pico receivers (sub 10 gram), 350 to 760mah 2S SHD lipo pack, 4-3 and 4-4 props with Internal Collet Adapers (these props have 4mm bore, suggested motor has 2mm shaft) adapter and lots of testosterone! She can be tamed quite a bit with the large top wing but we warn you; she's pure aggression with the small top wing. Build her wisely!
If you select a receiver (RX), tell us which channel you need at checkout.
The Micro Bipe weighs in at 4.5 to 5.5 ounces depending on equipment choices. Kit exhibits our new ultra-rugged Space-Frame doublers and inline Formers, both Radical RC innovations in the RC Kit Field. Like most of our kits, 90% of it may be assembled prior to gluing due to the close fit of the lazer cut parts.
If your thinking of other motor, mini outrunners & etc., the requirements are 30 watts plus and 50mph pitch speed or more. Only the smallest lightest motors should be considered.
Additional photo showing both Eindecker and Sport versions. Either version can be built from the kit. The TX shows scale of the bipes.(Note, an error exists in the manual as packaged, the brushed 50XC motor is NOT an option for this kit.
* Asterisk items are Our first and favorite picks. All items listed are good choices.
Originally, I only reccomended the Medusa 4000KV 12mm inrunner for this model. That company has left the RC motor business. You'll find the Medusa reccomendation info in the instructions which in current inventory predates my new reccomendations. I Believe the current 1606 motor will also be outstanding as listed below. Use 4-3 prop with large top wing and 4-4 with small top wing.

Radical RC Mini Stick V2
The Mini is an outgrowth of the Micro Stick. First introduced at Toledo Expo 2004, this larger version has a longer tail moment, longer wingspan at 23" and is ideally suited for a GWS S-300A direct drive motor system. For those wanting a more tame Mini-Stick, it also has very good sport aerobatic power on the 50XC direct system. We've flown both power systems in a golf dome and they fit nicely. On the S-300 direct the Mini-Stick is very fast and aerobatic. It also flys well on the geared GWS/LPS-RXC-A 7-6 prop, As much climb as the S-300, less speed, good aerobatics and lighter than the S-300. Great fun on a small scale. Also, the kit comes with two sets of wing tips and tail parts. You can build it with a Sport/Pylon Racer or with a Sweet Stick/Eindecker styled look. Specifications: Finished weight 5-7 oz. Wing span 23". Wing area 132in. sq. Fueselage length 19". Build as 3 or 4 channels, recommend .2oz or less servos, FMA M5 or similar RX, Castle Pixie 7 or GWS-ICS50 for 50XC motor, Castle Pixie 20 for S-300 motor, any high discharge pack from 350 to 1200 mah.
International shipping note: box size is 24 inches long and approximately 16oz. weight.

Radical RC Mini Hunter
I wanted a sport fan that would ROG on a decent surface and "sport" fly very well too. There are lots of cool fan models that require bungee launch or a pro pitcher to get them airborne. Also, most ducted fan models only do one thing well, "go fast". The Mini Hunter is something different. With the stock GWS EDF 40's she'll get off pavement in about 12 feet. So, on your club runway that's 400 feet+ long to accommodate turbines, you'll have no trouble taking off across the width of it. In fact, landing or taking off between 2nd base and the pitchers mound will be a breeze at the local ball park. When you get her airborne you'll find you have a very well behaved sport airplane with sharp looks and good aerobatic ability. If you can fly any of our "Stick" models, the Mini Hunter will be a snap for you. Landings are surprisingly slow. Flight times are good with the fans too. The fans are positioned to allow part of the airflow to go over the wing. This nets us a model that can still be fast if you want yet can slow down to make very slow fairly high alpha landings without worry of the tail surfaces or the ailerons quitting on you. You see, like a prop driven model, the control surfaces of this model are in the fan thrust airflow. Setup includes steerable nose gear and my special "Monkey Motion Un-mixer" to un-mix V tail off the tail servos to drive your nose gear steering pushrod. The kit's worth the price just to see how this monkey motion unmixer works! ;-) This is a true "V" tail design. We use magnetic push button wing release so battery change out is a breeze. The Mini Hunter may also be powered with direct drive props if you like. Any two 12mm motors will fly it. For brushed use Twin 50XC motors. Remember, this model will get off in 12 feet, climb at 45 degrees or better, and is plenty quick with the brushed fans. You do not need brushless to have a cool model here, but we've got it to serve up to those wanting to build a monster.
Specifications: Finished weight 7.75-9 oz. Wing span 23". Wing area 132in. sq. Length 19.5"
Build as 3 or 4 channels, requires 4 each .2oz or less servos, small RX like Berg Microstamp 4L RX, Castle Pixie 7 or GWS ICS300 for 40mm fans (yes one esc drives both motors for brushed). Twin Castle TBird 9's for twin brushless fans on 3-3 props. Use a high discharge pack, weight budget for the battery will accommodate 2S 640 to 3S 1000.

Radical RC Wicked Wing
Bram Stoker warns keep garlic close at hand!
Possibly the worlds smallest servo driven flying wing ever! I wanted something different from the herd of swept wing pushers you seem to see everywhere. Being In a bit of a Gothic mood at the time, the Wicked Wing was born. This little beast really moves out on a simple 50XC brushed motor. Of course you could fly it with any 12mm brushless motor of your choice and even many of the micro outrunners. It needs about 14 watts to fly with authority. Brushless is not necessary but listed below for those wanting a poisonous Wicked Wing. 2 Small servos under 6 grams, an ESC (min 2 amps for the 50XC brushed motor) and a very small RX. We like the Berg 4L for this project the best. This model can be very fast, it's not a good first or second airplane choice. If you're flying well and want something to challenge your skills and wow your friends then this it. remember, at 50mph it covers 77 feet in 1 second! Judicious throttle control is a definite a requirement. This model goes together like a 3D jigsaw puzzle. You will have it framed up and ready for finish in about 1 hour. Fly weight is about 3oz, Span is about 11". About the size of the top wing on a Micro Bipe!

""I ordered your wicked wing kit a few months ago and just now finished it and flew it for the first time and wanted to let you know how pleased I am with it.
It is a very nice kit and fun to assemble (like a 3D Puzzle). Flying this little thing is challenging but fun. I am surprised of the durability, I have flown it in the ground with about 1ft tall grass several times, several unexpected touch and goes and my cartwheel landings look worse than the crashes.
However, the plane looks as good as new and I am still using the original prop. Just wanted to give some positive feedback.
Thanks, Marlan L. Kingsley""

Any 12mm brushless motor system capable of turning a 3-4" prop at 10 watts or more will work well. She is sure to please the most speed hungry wing fanatic while still retaining very good slow speed handling characteristics with the 50XC brushed motor and this is my favorite setup here. Quick "3D Jigsaw Puzzle" assembly in only 1-2 hours. World class laser cutting and design make this one of the quickest and most enjoyable balsa models you will ever build. You'll be amazed at the wide speed envelope the Quick Wing 12mm has. It easily goes from high speed to ball park flying with no bad habits. I'm totally comfortable recommending this kit as a good 2nd or 3rd model as long as you keep the power system modest. Advanced pilots can take the power as far as they like. The model is clearly and advanced flying machine with such power.

Note, with the advent of the new pusher APC-E props you can do a counter rotating setup. For counter rotating get the spinner sets that say CCW and CW (Counter clock wise and clockwise). Getting two CCW spinners means your going to run both props in the same direction. Most 20mm motors have 2mm shafts and require the PS22 2mm shaft adapter. If your using a motor with a large shaft like the RRC 2880 below you won't need those adapters.

The Vertigo 125 is a 125% version of the Vertigo 3D S-300 sized park flier. We wanted a larger Verti-Go and also recognized the trend towards larger and larger models in this park flier category. We built several enlarged versions of the Verti-Go 3D, choosing this design as being the optimum. The "125" sports a symmetrical airfoil. The entire kit is now tabbed and notched with many alignment dovetails. You can probably get this model framed up in the time it takes just to straighten out the typical ARF. Cross grain stiffeners were added to all control surfaces as well as some of the internal parts. In doing this we were able to expand the size of the model while keeping the material thickness the same for most parts. New! You’ll see a very novel wing attachment method. No rubber bands and no screws of any kind. It pops on and off in seconds with no tools or parts to lose. The Verti-Go 125 has a lighter wing loading than the smaller version yet retains very similar flying characteristics.
Yes, at a larger indoor venue you can be flying a one pound plus model that fits in very nicely. Set up mild or wild as a 3D Monster, we think you'll enjoy this latest version of the Verti-Go. We appreciate the opportunity to share it with you!

The E-Hornet! Anything from 6V S-400 to Astro 020 direct. The Hornet was a great Sport Airplane that went out of production over 20 years ago. This re-think includes legal mods for the WORKS Model Airplane club racing rules and latest world leading laser cut design techniques. This is absolutely the most exotic laser cut kit I have designed to date. Everything the laser can do is done here. You can power it for extreme speed or make it a real pussy cat of a sport plane. I know you will enjoy this model. The E-Hornet with high power and the addition of a folding prop is very much like a Hot-Liner without the price tag. With a 6V S=400 or other sub 100 watt power system it's a nice sport plane. The wing area and airfoil produce an extremely wide speed envelope. Kit has over 110 laser cut parts. Very exotic for a 1/2A sized airplane.
