Our power supply is fully isolated so no worries about electric shocks from the city power supply as is possible with non-isolated power supplies. Non isolated power supplies could shock the user if touching any part of the wire or spring rods.

Foam Cutting
Cutting foam cleanly is central to building wings and fuselage cores from foam blocks, and the usual method is a hot wire that melts a smooth path through the material rather than tearing it. This category supplies the core pieces needed to put a hot-wire cutter together.
Power Supply and Wire
The foam cutting power supply provides the low-voltage current that heats the wire, while the Ni-Chrome wire is the element that does the actual cutting. Ni-Chrome is chosen because it heats evenly and holds up to repeated use as it is tensioned across a bow or frame.
With a steady heat source and the right wire, a builder can slice accurate airfoil shapes using templates, which is how many foam wings are shaped at home. Getting the heat and feed rate right takes a little practice but produces a very clean cut.
