Engine Test Stands & Mounts

Engine Test Stands and Mounts

Running a model engine on the bench is far easier when it is held in a stand built for the job. A test stand clamps the engine securely so it can be started, tuned, and broken in away from the airframe, keeping your hands clear and giving steady access to the needle valve and prop.

Sized for Small Glow Engines

The stand offered here suits the small Cox engines, covering the .010, .020, .049, and .051 displacements that powered generations of control line and small free flight models. A mount matched to these little engines makes routine starting and adjustment much more manageable.

Break-in runs and carburetor tuning tend to be safer on a stand than with an engine held by hand, which is why many builders keep one on the bench for setting the low and high speed needles before a model ever leaves the ground.

See the current test stand listing below.
