HINT: Silicone insulated wires are extra supple, wear and heat resistant. High quality wire is a "must use" when the wire must take many repeated bends, passes through a hinge line, is located in an unsupported high vibration area, or where high heat is an issue. For example, near exhaust tunnels or pipes or anything that could come into contact with an engine. Also, as a side note, because of the very high temperatures it takes the melt the silicone insulation, a momentary short is NOT likely to lead to the insulation melting and a new permanent short forming. These are the basic advantages of silicone insulated wire.

Hint: Beware of wire size less than 22 gauge for any battery or switch wire. We've seen standard size switches with 24 and 26 gauge wire before and even battery packs with 24 gauge wire. This practice is substandard and low grade. Don't bottleneck your energy supply. 22 Gauge is the only acceptable size for your main power supply current path.

Hint: If your solder work is nice, our 1/16 shrink fits nicely over all 22 and 26 gauge Servo and Battery wire for in-line solder joints. If your unsure of your work, use/order 3/32 size. It will still shrink down nice and tight.

This size silicone wire is great for your high powered S-300 (up to 9 amps) and smaller. High quality, supple and many fine strands. Wire consists of 90 strands of 0.08mm wire (008x90). Gauge is 20. OD of silicone jacket is approximately 1.5mm. Cross section area = 0.33mm sq.
