STATUS UPDATE 4/22/2022

We are elated to report that Colin Buckle has recently begun work to produce kits again, after a haitas due to health reasons. We have been keeping the faith and praying for his full recovery and are very much looking forward to restocking his fine kits again! We will update any future news here, remaining eager, yet patient.

Ben Buckle kits are mostly machine cut kits. There are a few kits in the line that are print wood and I think Colin Buckle preserves those for historic reasons as they were originally manufactured back in the day. However, almost all the kits we stock from Ben Buckle are machine cut. You can safely presume they are machine cut unless we specify "Print Wood Kit" in the description. We know you'll really enjoy builiding these classic designs. They come from the era of radio, record players and flat head V8's. Hey, I'm not trying to make you feel old. ;-) Dave

Ben Buckle Kits

Ben Buckle kits reproduce classic free-flight and early radio designs as building projects for modelers who enjoy traditional construction. This category gathers the Ben Buckle vintage range, from gentle trainers to larger sport subjects, each supplied as a kit to build from the board up. Each kit follows plans and parts in the traditional manner, giving builders the full experience of framing up a model.

Trainers and Sport Models

The Super 60 and Mini Super are long-familiar trainer designs, joined by the Junior 60, including a Junior 60-Electric version for those setting up around an electric motor. These make approachable projects for builders drawn to vintage lines and easygoing flight.

Larger Vintage Designs

Stepping up in size, the Majestic Major and the Buccaneer Standard offer bigger airframes with more presence in the air, rewarding the extra building time with a substantial vintage model.
