10mm x 24" Square Bass Slow Stick Boom Material. Compatible with all GWS Slow Stick and Radical RC Hop Up Kits. Please note, the nature of wood is it''s "natural" and it''s generally less straight than other boom options. Advantages are ease of repair, light weight, easiliy modified and inexpensive. Accepts fasteners readily. Lots of postive aspects to flying woody booms. Price is per pair of sticks. Custom machined for our application. A stock boom is 800mm long and made up of two sections, one 600mm and one 200mm. 48" of material is included, sometimes it's nice to extend the boom an inch or two. GWS Slow Stick Parts and Upgrades
The GWS Slow Stick has long been a favorite trainer and camera platform for its gentle, slow flight, and this category collects the replacement parts and upgrades that keep one flying or make it sturdier. Because the airframe is light and simple, individual parts are easy to swap at the field or on the bench.
Structural Upgrades
Fiberglass wing support rods are offered in both front and rear positions, and an aluminum Slow Stick boom replaces the standard plastic rod for a stiffer tail. A fuselage fiberglass upgrade kit further reinforces the airframe for harder use.
Smaller Parts
Detail pieces such as the elevator washer plate, offered as a gusset or ABS plate, cover the small components that wear or break over time. Because the Slow Stick sees a lot of duty as a first trainer, these are exactly the parts that take the brunt of early learning mishaps, and having them on hand shortens the turnaround between flights. Stiffening the boom and wing supports also helps the airplane hold its trim and fly more predictably as it ages.
