Estimates based on manufacturers provided constants using E-Calc. High Quality 700mah used as trial cell in calculations. Actual performance may vary depending on components used, accuracy of data as provided by manufacturer, quality of ESC, weather and many other variables. Note, static thrust numbers are typically higher than calculated with prop sizes 6" and under.

Medusa Brushless Motors
Medusa Research built its reputation on very small, high-output brushless motors, and this category collects the Afterburner series along with the hardware that supports it. These 12mm motors are aimed at micro and small electric aircraft where every gram counts but the pilot still wants strong power.
Afterburner Motor Range
The lineup includes the Medusa Research 4000 and 5300 12mm Afterburner motors, a 12mm 4000kv version, and a 2400kv 28x32mm motor for setups that turn a larger prop. A 28 x 40mm Afterburner rounds out the larger end of the range.
Mounting Hardware
Replacement 12mm Afterburner mounting screws are listed here as well, so you can secure a motor to its mount or replace fasteners lost during a rebuild. Keeping a spare set on the bench saves a trip when a small screw goes missing at the field.
Compare the Medusa motors and hardware below to find the size and kv rating that fits your model.
