Back in 1970, the February issue of RCM magazine featured a construction article of a design that took the pattern world by storm. This revolutionary design was the brainchild of Joe Bridi and it went on to be one of the most successful pattern and sport models of all time.
This outstanding, contest-winning model was the Kaos and we've based our kit on that same original design, updating it's construction with laser-cut precision, yet keeping all of the outstanding flying characteristics that made the original a legend.
In addition to our unique WEB-LOCK wing construction, this kit also includes a wing jig which makes assembling this triple-tapered wing a snap. Using our techniques, you'll quickly build a wing that's accurate and true - it just so easy to build!
The fuselage is built around a self-aligning, light-weight box for added strength. Surrounding this is the outer balsa skin that is strong, light-weight and twist resistant even when performing high-stress maneuvers. Overall, this balsa/ply airframe is uncomplicated, lightweight, easy to build, and features precision laser-cut parts that fit together quickly and accurately.
The wing is removable via 2 bolts from the bottom of the fuselage and utilizes a dual-servo setup for accurate aileron control. The wing's thick symmetrical airfoil coupled with the fuselage's long tail moment create a neutrally stable plane. Power can come from glow or electric powerplants. We've designed the fuselage with a magnetic top hatch so you have quick access to either your fuel tank or batteries.
Because of the Kaos' simple, clean design, it's a pattern plane you'll instantly feel comfortable flying. What's more, you'll become a better pilot because the Kaos let's you concentrate on technique, not distractions like pipes and retracts.
Our Old School Model Work's Kaos 60 is a Senior Pattern Association and Vintage R/C Society legal design for vintage and retro pattern competitions.

Our Bat is simplicity and excitement all at the same time. It is based off a 1970's World Engines kit and is a lot of fun to fly alone. But it's tons of fun to fly in groups. Thanks to precision laser-cutting, and the low parts count, this allows you to completely assemble the airframe in just a few hours.
Between the twin fins, there is an expansive internal area to allow in the installation of a variety of radio gear, as well as batteries (or fuel tank). This is all accessible via three hatches - the two servo hatches and a center hatch with a quick-release latch setup.
Parts are included to build the Bat with either an electric or glow powerplant. And it's one of the few designs in our lineup where you can overpower a little it without too much extra work.
We've had great fun with the recommended power systems, but as long as you keep a good eye on the C.G. (and lateral balance) you can strap on a little more power and streak through the skies. Obviously, some common sense needs to be applied here, but the structure is strong and can withstand a little overpowering with no problems. Trainer-like stability. Sport-Pattern performance. Quick and easy to build. What's not to love?!
Designed as a first low-wing trainer over five decades ago the Lark is still a terrific, everyday sport plane. OSM's version of the Lark keeps all of the iconic looks and great flying characteristics of the original. Plus, because it combines docile flight characteristics, trainer-like stability and an aptitude for super-smooth, exciting aerobatics, the Lark is just what you need to step forward with your flying ability.
OSM's kit has been designed to keep building time to a minimum and introduces new, simplified building features as well as laser-cut precision and self-aligning parts to make this all-time favorite even better. Building the wing and stab are a snap as all of the ribs include tabs which allow you to quickly and precisely align them on your building board. Did we say stab ribs? Why yes we did, as we integrated the original airfoil shaped stab into this design as well. The fuselage is built around a self-aligning, light-weight box for added strength. Surrounding this is the outer balsa skin that is strong, light-weight and twist resistant. Importantly, this balsa/ply airframe is uncomplicated, lightweight, easy to build, and features precision laser-cut parts that fit together quickly and accurately.
Power can come from glow or electric powerplants. We've designed the fuselage with a magnetic top hatch so you have quick access to either your fuel tank or batteries.
In the air, the Lark is an aerobatic, yet forgiving design that makes it the perfect entry-level low wing airplane. It's also great for experienced pilots because it packs a fully aerobatic capable design into a small package that can fit in the trunk of many cars, completely assembled.
When flying at slower speeds, it's a great way to relax, shoot touch-n-goes and enjoy low passes down the runway. But throttle it up and the Lark is just at home as an entry-level sport-pattern ship. Loop it. Roll it. Thrown in some Cuban 8's and even some hammerhead turns for fun and you'll enjoy every minute of it. This Old School Model Work's Lark is a Vintage R/C Society legal design for enjoying vintage fly-ins and contests.
Features: Premium USA Hardware Included in each Old School Model Works kit is a premium hardware package. OSM only sources their hardware from brand-name, USA manufacturers to guarantee the best quality.
Interlocking Construction There's nothing else like it. OSM's interlocking construction allows you to assemble the entire airframe with a minimum amount of fuss.
Front hatch Securely held in place with magnets, this hatch gives you easy access to batteries or fuel.

Fast, but not too fast. Maneuverable, agile and responsive - but not tricky. A snap to build - and with a fully sheeted airframe, surprisingly rugged compared to most.
Don't let the lack of landing gear scare you. Hand launching is easy because of the fuselage's light weight and strengthened design. In the air, it really looks the part without any exposed gear to detract from it's clean lines. Bringing the Fifty-One in for a belly landing on grass is just as easy.
You should see them take evasive maneuvers in Dog Fighting. Evade with snap rolls into spins, Immelmann turns and a loop.
OSM's Fifty-One kit is part of our Sunday Fighter lineup and just might be the most fun you've had in a long time.
Because of the interlocking design and high quality laser cutting of the parts, the Sunday Fighter is a quick build. Not only does it build quick, but it also builds straight and true as all of the parts are designed to align properly with a minimum of fuss and alignment tools.
The wing is removable for storage/transport and for giving access to the radio/servo area. From there you have easy access to install most any brand of radio and control linkages.
What's more, the fully assembled model can fit in the trunk of most cars.
Although mainly designed for electric power, you can also use a .25-sized glow engine as well. Glow engines are side mounted. Electric motors are mounted on the "extended" firewall to space the motor the proper distance forward. When assembled, you now have a blank canvas and can apply any number of color schemes, or make up your own. In the air, the Fifty-One is a blast to fly. A simple hand-launch gets it airborne, then you can cruise quite easily and 1/2 power. Throttle up for loops, eights, snaps, spins, hammerhead turnaounds - or maybe a screaming low-level pass, right down the runway. When you're ready to land, simply throttle back and gently bring the Fifty-One in for a belly landing on the grass.
This is just one design in our growing Sunday Fighter series. Specifications: Wingspan: 44.5 inches Wing Area: 330 sq inches Length (airframe only): 39 inches Weight: 3 - 3.5 pounds Radio: 4 channel system Power: o Glow (.25 engine) o Electric (350+ watt, 60 amp ESC, 3-4s LiPo)
Features: Premium USA Hardware Included in each Old School Model Works kit is a premium hardware package. We only source our hardware from brand-name, USA manufacturers to guarantee the best quality. Dual Ailerons Mounted under the lower wing, these two pre-cut aileron hatches make it easy to install the aileron servos. WEB-LOCK Construction There's nothing else like it. Build our wings, straight and true - with a minimum amount of fuss. Battery compartment Perfectly sized to take 3-4s 2200 lipo packs, plus an ESC. Open design makes batteries easy to swap out, and keeps the components cool. Under-Fuse Air Scoop Just like the full-scale, our Fifty-One has a scoop under the fuselage. It's held in place by the wing bolts. Fly with or without it - your choice.
Additional items needed to complete this Sunday Fighter kit: o Propeller o Engine/Motor mount & mounting hardware o 4-5 mini servos depending on setup: 4 flight controls, 1 for throttle if glow o "Y" servo harness (for ailerons) o Pushrods (two 6" for ailerons, one 10" for throttle if glow powered, two flexible 26" for elevator & rudder) o Clevises for the pushrods (8 if electric, 10 if glow). o 1-1/2 - 2 rolls of covering o 3" spinner

Fast, but not too fast. Maneuverable, but not tricky. A snap to build and surprisingly rugged compared to most. The original Sunday Fighters were the brainchild of Ken Willard back in the early 1970's. His were small, .049 powered 3-channel models and proved quite popular. Now, we've taken this idea, enlarged, and re-engineered them to make them as much fun to build as they are to fly.
You should see them take evasive maneuvers in Dog Fighting. Evade with snap rolls into spins, Immelmann turns and a loop. Our radio-controlled Sunday Fighter airplane kits just might be the most fun you've had in a long time.
Because of the interlocking design and high quality laser cutting of the parts, the Sunday Fighter is a quick build. Not only does it build quick, but it also builds straight and true as all of the parts are designed to align properly with a minimum of fuss and alignment tools.
The wings are removable for storage/transport and for giving access to the extra large cabin area. From there you have easy access to install most any brand of radio and control linkages. However, the fully assembled model can fit in the trunk of most mid-sized cars.
Up-front, we've designed in a hatch that covers the battery/tank compartment. This area will easily handle 3s packs and 6 ounce tanks.
Whether you choose to power your Sunday with electric or glow power, we've got you covered. Glow engines can be mounted side, inverted or even upright with a little modification. Electric motors can be mounted using the included Motor Box which will help space your motor to the proper distance.
Go true "old-school" with 3 channel control, or opt for functional ailerons (4 channel).
There are two Sunday Fighters - the German version you see here, and the British version you can see at this link.

Your Dad raved about it. So did your Uncle, your Grandpa, and most of the members in your club.
Now you can experience one for yourself.
Since the early 70's, more of these have been built and flown than most any other R/C design. It's an all-time favorite R/C trainer and sport design. It's fondly remembered because it's so easy to build and to gentle to fly.
Our version of the Fifty Six keeps all of the iconic look and great flying characteristics, and introduces new, simplified building features, as well as laser-cut precision - making this all time favorite even better.
Building the wing and stab are a snap as all of the ribs include tabs which allow you to quickly and precisely align them on your building board. Did we say stab ribs? Why yes we did, as we integrated the original airfoil shaped stab into our design as well.

The fuselage is built around a self-aligning, light-weight box for added strength. Surrounding this is the outer balsa skin that is strong, light-weight and twist resistant. Overall, this balsa/ply airframe is uncomplicated, lightweight, easy to build, and features precision laser-cut parts that fit together quickly and accurately.
The wing is removable the old-school way - using rubber bands (which are included). At first, you might think this is a bit old-fashioned, but it's simply the perfect way to hold the Fifty Six's wing in place. What's more, doing it this way keeps it faithful to the original design and since the Fifty Six is also a trainer, it gives the wing that extra bit of movement needed to help avoid breakage during those not-so-perfect landings.
Power can come from glow or electric powerplants. We've designed the fuselage with a magnetic top hatch so you have quick access to either your fuel tank or batteries.
In the air, the Fifty Six is a gentle and forgiving design that makes it the perfect trainer. When flying at slower speeds, it's a great way to relax, shoot touch-n-goes and enjoy low passes down the runway. But throttle it up a bit and the Fifty Six is just at home as a barnstormer. Loop it. Roll it. Flip over for some inverted flight. Throw in some hammerhead turns for fun and you'll enjoy every minute of it.
For value and features in a great-flying, rugged airplane, your best bet is the OSMW Fifty-Six.

"T-CLIPS" is no ordinary clipped wing Taylorcraft. Originally a stock 1939 Taylorcraft, this is the only clipped wing T'craft in the world currently flying airshows with an original size engine. Airshow pilot Erik Edgren refers to this as "Twistin It Old School". SIG is proud to team up with Erik and offer a new R/C model of his one-of-a-kind airplane.
Designed for electric power, the new SIG T-CLIPS EP is a pure aerobatic delight. It's not meant to be an exact scale model, but more of an everyday no-frills flying field favorite.
Voted by pilots as the "Best New R/C Airplane At SEFF 2013".

Designed in conjunction with Dave Thacker at Radical RC, the MAMA is the most inovative way to keep track of your 2S A123/LithiumWerks RX packs ever produced. MAMA actually measures the Mili-Amp Hours you add and remove from your A123/LithiumWerks RX pack both ways. It gives you a visual indication of where your at in the capacity of the pack as your using it in the form of a blink code. At last, a real fuel gauge! This version of the MAMA Includes the remote led feature. Mount on outer surface or on dash to read out blink code. Also included is the throttle blip feture. You can run your throttle through the device if you like and it will give you a quick throttle blip when your getting into serious condition on the pack. Obviously you should'n routinely go that deep, the intention is only to alert you as a last resort.
All green blinks is A-OK, green with some blanks means we''ve used a little, green with a few some red blinks means we are getting close to needing to recharge. If you see more red than green blinks we''ve droped below 40% remaining capacity and it''s time to recharge pronto. Intermitant red or solid red blinks is well into the danger zone. A handy chart and field box card is included to remind you of the simple pattern.
Simply perform a charge/discharge cycle and MAMA learns the capacity of your battery. MAMA delivers blink codes to represent the remaining capacity of your pack based on what you''ve actually used out of it. Any capacity LIFE (A123/LithiumWerks) 2S pack may be connected to MAMA. Your charge/discharge cycle allows MAMA to calibrate to your pack. Even if it''s a veteran 2300mah pack with only 1900mah capacity remaining, she figures it correctly. It's even ok to put a short charge into the pack that does not fill it completely. MAMA has seen this trick before and will give accurate readings anyway.
Optionally, you can run your throttle servo connection through the MAMA and she will give you quick throttle blips if you ever drop down below 30% remaining capacity. The blips are brief so that even if your in a climb out or other critical manouvre you get an opportunity to return under control for recharge.
This unit can be used with either Futaba/JR/Spektrum or any ohter universal connector. Includes optional remote LED and thorttle features. (Use of warning throttle blip feature not required for proper function of MAMA.)
Specifications: Constant Current Limit: 10 amps Intermitant Current Limit: 20 amps Current Draw In Use: 5ma Current Draw At Idle: <100ua (1 million uah per amp hour) (time to run down full 2300mah pack at rest is 10k hours. Months of rest is safe.) Size: 2.05" x 1.10" Weight: 12 grams
