DESCRIPTION: Mercury MH16 is a General Activator accellerator. It is ozone friendly and used for normal curing of cyanoacrylates, depositing a correct balance of neutralizing ions on the surface, stimulating attrition for the adhesive and preparing the surface for bonding.
APPLICATIONS: Mercury MH16 is primarily designed for fast cure of thick deposits or for post curing outside the bond line. MH16 prevents absorption of the lower viscosity superglues into porous items. MH16 helps bridge gaps which decrease polymerization time.
Useful Hints: Mercury MH16 can be used to speed cure by brushing or spraying onto the surface, applying drop wise, the superglue and then over spraying to cure fillets such as on wire tacking jobs. Works best under repeated applications rather than one excessively large application.
Useful Hints Foam: When any accelerator is used with foams, it should be misted into the air and one part waved through the mist. Spraying directly onto foam may cause adhesives to cure too quickly with the resulting heat damaging the foam. Although this is our favorite accelerator for foam, it is always reccomended that you test any adhesive or accelerator on a scrap before using on your model. Incompatibilitys may exist, none of which we are aware.

INSTA-SET(TM) is a catalyst which acts as an accelerator that allows CAs to quickly cure in thick layers by enhancing the alkaline conditions during polymerization. INSTA-SET(TM) in a spray bottle is normally used to cure the CA that flows from joints when parts are pressed together. Applying an additional bead of thick CA along a seam and then curing it with INSTA-SET(TM) significantly enhances a joint's strength. For difficult to bond materials, INSTA-SET(TM) can be applied to one surface and CA to the opposite surface. When brought together, they will bond instantly. INSTA-SET(TM) is formulated with a strawberry scent and activates CA in 6 to 8 seconds without any degrading of the CAs strength, which can occur with many other accelerators. It is compatible with all surfaces, even clear plastic and white foam.
USES:
All Cyanoacrylates
DIRECTIONS:
After joining parts with cyanoacrylate (CA, super glue), spray the seams with Insta-Set(TM) to cure the CA in 8 seconds. A bead of CA can then be applied to the outside and corners of joints before another application of Insta-Set(TM) to reinforce their strength. Insta-Set(TM) can also be applied to one part (with CA on the other) before joining for difficult to bond materials. Insta-Set(TM) is compatible with all surfaces, including clear plastic and all foams. It also is a great cleaning agent for adhesive residue and scuff marks. Store separately from CAs.
Ultra-Cure(TM) is a very high performance clear cyanoacrylate that has a viscosity (thickness) in-between that of Insta-Cure Super Thin and Insta-Cure+ Gap Filling Medium. It is ideal for the mounting of rubber tires onto R/C car wheels. It is available in our 3/4 oz Pocket CA bottle and comes with one of our new #304 Extender Tips for the Pocket CA pin-in-cap top. ULTRA-CURE(TM) can be used in many other applications that require a slightly thicker thin CA and will bond virtually everything. It is not foam-safe, however.
USES:
R/C rubber tires
DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Carefully lift the sidewall of the tire after it is mounted to the wheel to expose the area to be bonded. Apply a drop of Ultra-Cure(TM)CA Tire Glue into the gap, then slowly return the tire to its seated position. Continue this process around the circumference of the tire. Repeat these steps for the other side. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing screw-on top. Refrigerate to extend shelf life when not in use. Ultra-Cure(TM)is also superior for bonding most other materials. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Insta-Cure+(TM) is a higher viscosity CA for loose fitting joints in which the adhesive must bridge gaps. Normally, the thicker CA is applied to one surface and then the parts are held tightly together for about 5 to 15 seconds. For large surface areas, including those with close fitting joints such as laminations, INSTA-CURE+ (TM) should also be used. To prevent premature curing, don't spread the glue into a thin film. Lay down a serpentine bead with about 1" separations on one surface, then assemble the parts, letting the pressure spread the CA out.
Works Best On:
Balsa Wood
Soft Wood
Works Good On:
Hard Wood
Glass & Metal
Fiberglass
Ceramics
Hard Plastics
Rubber
Laminating
Water-Resistant
Reinforcing
DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Apply Insta-Cure+(TM) CA to one side of the parts being joined, then hold them tightly together for 5-15 seconds. For larger bonding areas, apply serpentine beads of the CA with enough spacing to allow for the spreading of the adhesive. Insta-Set(TM) accelerator can be sprayed to cure the CA that oozes from joints. Full strength is reached in three hours. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing screw-on top. Refrigerate to extend shelf life. Cured CA is stable from -40° to 220° F. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Insta-Cure(TM) has a water-thin viscosity that wicks deep into joints by capillary action and cures in a matter of a few seconds. Surfaces to be bonded must be tight fitting and should be held together while you apply the CA around the edges of the seam. At the moment CAs cure, they give off a vapor that can irritate the nose and eyes, so be prepared. Thin CAs work very well on balsa since they penetrate into the wood and form more than just a surface bond.

CA Hinges
DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Insta-Cure(TM) CA is used to bond tight fitting parts. Hold the parts together (sometimes using masking tape), then apply the Insta-Cure(TM) along the joints. The CA will penetrate deep into the joints. Bonding will occur in 1-3 seconds. Excess cured CA can be removed from surfaces like ceramics by rubbing with a paper towel soaked in Un-Cure(TM). Full strength is reached in two hours. Wipe the nozzle clean before replacing screw-on top. Refrigerate to extend shelf life. Cured CA is stable from -40° to 220° F. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Maxi-Cure(TM) extra thick CA is the best CA for most plastics, including GE's Lexan MAXI-CURE(TM) is the best choice for plastic model assembly. When used with INSTA-SET(TM), it works better than any putty for modifying or filling voids. It can be carved with a knife or razor blade and sanded and feathered to form a finish indistinguishable from plastic. MAXI-CURE(TM) bonds fiberglass, hardwood, metal and rubber better than any other hobby adhesive. For gluing to the inside, cloth textured surface of fiberglass, scrape the area to be bonded with a razor blade or coarse sandpaper before using MAXI-CURE(TM) or any other adhesive. It also is best for bonding the tires for R/C cars. MAXI-CURE(TM) has proven to be very popular in the archery business for the fletching of vanes onto aluminum and carbon arrow shafts. Along with being the strongest, MAXI-CURE(TM) is usually the least expensive option for this application.

DIRECTIONS:
Unscrew top from nozzle. For finer applications, use the extender tip. Apply Maxi-Cure(TM) CA to one side of the parts being joined, then hold them tightly to- gether for 10-20 seconds. Cured CA is stable from -40 to 220? F. Soak extender tip in acetone for cleaning.
Plastic-Cure(TM) is a gap-filling formulation of CA that works best on plastics. It is packaged in a bottle with a brush built into its top, which in many cases is an easier way to apply the CA. As long as brush is put back into the bottle after use, the bristles of the brush will not harden. Care must be taken, however, not to introduce foreign material into the bottle. The brush should not be used, for example, to apply CA to wood that has been freshly sanded. Plastic-Cure will also bond wood, but its brush applicator at times will not be the best way to apply it. Plastic-Cure is superior for the application of false nails and wraps on fingernails, where its brush is the preferred method of application.
USES:
Plastics
Wood
Foam
False nails and wraps on fingernails
DIRECTIONS:
Carefully unscrew the cap. Brush on Plastic-Cure(TM) to one surface of the parts being joined, then hold parts tightly together for 10-20 seconds. Plastic-Cure(TM) won't frost clear plastic and works on white foam. Insta-Set(TM) Accelerator must be used when bonding two pieces of foam together. Full strength is reached in 3 hours. Excess cured adhesive can be removed by rubbing the area with a paper towel soaked in Un-Cure(TM). Refrigerate to extend shelf life. Cured CA is stable from -40° to 220° F.
Insta-Flex(TM) flexible thin CA is ideal for many applications, including the installation of CA hinges. When cured, INSTA-FLEX(TM) does not turn brittle and remains clear, even if accelerated with INSTA-SET(TM). It has superior shock resistance. Although not as thin in consistency as INSTA-CURE(TM), INSTA-FLEX(TM) still has good penetrating qualities and its application can be easier to control. For CA hinges, we recommend drilling a 1/16" hole in the center of the hinge slots to insure the complete saturation of the hinge when INSTA-FLEX(TM) is applied. INSTA-FLEX(TM) has a different, less irritating odor compared to regular CA's, but still cannot be used on white foam. INSTA-FLEX(TM) has also proven to be superior when bonding anodized aluminum.

Sorry for the inconvience. This information will be coming soon.
Insta-Flex+(TM) clear rubber toughened has similar qualities to our black IC-2000(TM) but can be used in applications where you do not want the adhesive to be seen. The carbon component of IC-2000(TM) that gives the CA its black color also contributes to its unsurpassed strength. Since INSTA-FLEX+(TM) has this carbon removed, its strength is a little less than IC-2000(TM) but still superior to standard CA's. When esthetics are important and a flexible bond is required, INSTA-FLEX+(TM) is your best choice. It forms superior bonds to soft urethane and vinyl plastics. Both INSTA-FLEX(TM) and INSTA-FLEX+(TM) work well when bonding R/C car tires. When a joint has a larger than normal gap, flexible CA's provide superior shock resistant bonds.

IC-2000(TM) is a rubber-toughened cyanoacrylate that forms superior shock resistant bonds on non-porous surfaces. The black colored CA has added flexibility for the bonding of metals, fiberglass, rubber, carbon-fiber and other advanced materials. For model use, IC-2000(TM) is ideal for the bonding of bulkheads, formers and servo rails to the inside of fiberglass hulls and fuselages. Setup time is 20-40 seconds, which can be accelerated with INSTA-SET(TM). When cured, IC-2000(TM) is pliable enough to be carved with a hobby knife. IC-2000(TM) is the best adhesive for R/C car tires.
IC-2000(TM) has found many uses in industrial applications, such as rubber to rubber bonding by Beechcraft, carbon composite bonding by Boeing, rubber door seals by Volkswagen, speaker and subwoofer assembly in the audio industry and many others that need the most durable, shock resistant fast bonding adhesive that is available.

Pocket CAs are available in 3/4 & 4 oz. sizes and feature a top that has a pin built into the cap that covers the nozzle. This pin seals the bottle so that if it is tipped over, the bottle will not leak. This makes the Pocket CAs ideal for keeping in your tool or field box, just like our IC-Gel. This pin also helps prevent the clogging of the nozzle. One disadvantage that the new Pocket CA top has is the bluntness of the nozzle. This makes it more difficult to apply small amounts of the CA, especially in tight places. BSI's #304 extender tip can be used on the nozzle for finer applications. The Pocket CAs are available with BSI's Insta-Cure, Insta-Cure+, Maxi-Cure and Super-Gold+.

PLASTI-ZAP is a specialty CA adhesive developed for use on plastic and vinyl items. Most plastic modeling projects can be assembled with PLASTI-ZAP and very small amounts of ZIP KICKER. The special formula in PLASTI-ZAP allows it to screen out any mold release agents resulting in a permanent bond in 15 to 30 seconds. The joint can be filed and sanded in a minute or so, allowing extra fast assembly.
Helpful Hints:
Apply small drops of PLASTI-ZAP to one surface only then mate the parts. For large or long seams apply small drops 1/4 to 1/2 inches apart, one side only, along the entire seam, then join parts. Be careful to keep your fingers away from the glued joints until cured, this glue will bond your skin instantly to your model. For bonding chrome parts, scrape the chrome off of the bonding areas then apply the glue to one side only. If you want to use ZIP KICKER, apply very small amounts with a fine brush or toothpick. You do not need to apply kicker to the entire joint. For critical applications test sample joints for designed strength requirements.
